Dommin
THE BAND

Dommin is an American Alternative-Rock quartet that formed in 2006 in Los Angeles, California and is fronted by the enigmatic, Kristofer Dommin, also the band’s guitarist and principal songwriter. The band is rounded out by Konstantine (keyboards), Cameron Morris (drums) and Billy James (bass).

THE SOUND

The music has been coined Goth ‘n’ Roll or Rock Wave. One producer referred to it as a rock version of The Cure. It walks a fine line between rock and alternative with a heavy and at times quirky synth section. But it’s Kristofer’s unique and compelling voice, an amalgamation of Jim Morrison meets Morrissey, that drives the power and passion of every word he sings and unites all the songs under a common identity, aching to seduce the listener into a very personal narrative. The band collectively cites The Doors, Depeche Mode, Nirvana and Type O Negative as common influences.

THE DEBUT ALBUM & ACCOLADES

Dommin’s Roadrunner Records debut, Love Is Gone, released in 2010, was referred to as “the voice of the broken-hearted.” The songs delved into complex relationships and damaged psyches. The album’s first single, “My Heart, Your Hands” was featured as iTunes ‘Song Of The Week’ in February of 2010. Dommin received nominations as Best New Band and Best New International Artist at UK’s Metal Hammer Awards and Kerrang! Awards respectively.

TOURS & FESTIVALSDommin has toured across US as support for Combichrist, Volbeat, Black Veil Brides, The Birthday Massacre, Kill Hannah, HIM & Lacuna Coil and played a week of dates on The Warped Tour (2009 & 2010). In 2010, they supported HIM and Lacuna Coil in Western Europe & the U.K. which ended in a headlining show at London’s legendary Borderline. They returned to Europe that same year to play Germany’s Rock Am Ring/Rock Im Park festivals and to open the Main Stage on the final day of the Download Festival in the United Kingdom. Sideshows included dates in Germany and The Netherlands with Bullet For My Valentine and Cancer Bats. In 2011, the band played the Soundwave Festival in Australia which included a sideshow supporting Rob Zombie, The Murderdolls and Monster Magnet.
