Note to self, "Keep an extra sweater, pair of earmuffs and gloves in the car." I do have a blanket in the trunk in case of emergency, but I was not wearing layers at this thing and that is what my doctor said made me susceptible to the bug. I never really believed in that before, now I do.
There is a link here that gives you a general overview the event. Veterans Day is not about sales at the Mall, it is about honoring those who have fought for our freedom. The lead in to the video has me singing "Amazing Grace" acapella. I also had the honor of singing our National Anthem at the very opening of the event.
It is baffling to me when a Veteran comes up to me and says thank you for singing. I always say, "No - thank you." It is my honor.
