Well, it's almost a year since I posted a new blog, & so much has happened in this last year. January saw us moving from Stamford, Lincs to a Channel Island; Jersey. This has taken a lot of settling and adjusting to, & it's been a tough six months with my sister being diagnosed with breast cancer. This has taken the song, 'running' into a new dimension for me.
Originally inspired when I ran in a Race for life for cancer research, I now find myself regularly running along beautiful St.Aubins bay upholding her & this cause in my prayers. It was a great challenge to participate in the Jersey marathon in October. Martyn managed to do the whole thing, I managed seven miles as part of a women's relay team, also for this cause.
I am just starting to write and perform again. last night saw me locally at the Smugglers Inn, & I am looking forward to getting out and about more on the local circuit. I am also learning the guitar which is long overdue. I am currently writing my first song on that instrument, so watch this space, as the sound of Liz Shea will hopefully diversify quite signicantly over the next few years as a result!!
