‘Nista Nije Nista’ (nothing is not nothing) is an international all-female gang of four, whose members stem from Austria, Australia, and Germany. The group plays a highly ambitious game with sounds, language, concepts and performance. Among their instruments and media are voices, computers, keyboard, saxophone, clarinet, guitar, bass guitar, piano, drum, a sewing machine, air pump, chains, coat hangers, vacuum cleaner, washing machine, clothes stand, bells, baby phone, scissors, gaffa tape, a staple gun, drawing, video and installation.The real quality of these audio-art sketches lie in their tentative moves, the atmospheric distortions, the shreds of sounds and the ‘serious play’. English, German, French, Spanish, Turkish and Slovakian spoken word, lyrics and singing are dream-like snapshots in an improvised experimental music. Nista Nije Nista have released 2 albums (‘Nie Niemals Nicht’ and ‘4 Wolves Attack’) produced by Hans Joachim Irmler (Faust) on Klangbad music label (www.klangbad.de) The collective have toured in Europe since 2004. .............. ............ .. .. .. .. .. .. ..
