Tuesday 11 Jan: 'Pueblo Limite', Villa Geselle, Argentina.
"Though it was 4 hours there 4 hours back, that gig was worth it!"
On this short trip we have had many surprises, like the down pour at Green Valley, or the boat trip in Floripa, the setting at the gig in Rio, or on the other side just about getting our flight to Punta once there Casa Suay a lesson in how to chill!
Its been a great trip there's one more gig to be had, on arriving at the 'Faena' this is a hotel that i feel i know so well, after coming here for the last 3 years its familiar. With a few hours to relax were picked up at 10.30pm for a 4-hour drive to Villa Giselle, to Pueblo Limite a place that according to Martin Gontard Paul has to play, its a long drive given, but the pick-up's comfortable and were ZZzzz all the way there
On arriving at around 3.15am were escorted to a closed restaurant have a few drinks and wait till time from what im told this whole place is one huge club with a bigger capacity outside than in, once its time Paul's escorted to the club onto the DJ booth, once in he is in un-dated for photo's if un-aware you might mistake the level of being frenzy but this is Argentina and its just true passion! Paul gestures openly to the 1500 packed floor both at the back and balcony before releasing the energy the crowd in front surge forward going wild as the images on screen of the other 2,000 outside join them.
This kind of response is only given by Paul's Argentinean fan's be it Buenos Aires, Cordoba or here they are this passionate and that special Paul plays to this encouraging them to feel with him as he cranks up the energy, they sing when they feel it and smile all the way, this lasts all the way through his set, outside the 2,000 join in Paul taking them through to till 6.15 am. Leaving the stage has to become a gauntlet of security holding back the crowd with advice to keep moving he has no time for autographs and one or two images, all the way outside through the mass crowd to the pick-up is ready he is asked for
"Paul, Paul, foto?"
Once in as Paul says
"That was worth the 4 hours it took to get here!"
Feels sad to leave and not hang around but we have another 4 hour drive back, and more ZZzzz to catch up on!
