We're afraid the time has come and we must say farewell. After 17 years of touring and 6 studio albums, The Bluetones have
decided that this Autumn's tour will be our last. We will be playing a
career spanning set of songs as a way to say thank you to our loyal
supporters and hopefully signing off with a bit of a bang.
Completely gutted, devastated and pretty much heartbroken if I'm honest! Lost track of the amount of times I've seen you live and you are, without a doubt, the BEST live band I have ever seen, and I've seen alot. Even managed to blag a ticket to a pre-release 'listen' of 'The Bluetones' album in London a few years ago. Travelled all the way from Manchester just to have the opportunity of standing in the same room as you. Then had to leave early to catch the last train just as me and my sister were about to pluck up the courage to say hello! Have already got my tickets for the Manchester farewell, and will be making sure I get to the very last one in Birmingham, and possibly a few more! Thank you for your wonderful music, lyrics and all around general niceness. Wishing you all the best in everything you do after the tour, and I'll keep my fingers crossed for a reunion gig one day! Tears in my eyes now, signing off.... xx
Now you can do that reunion payday gig and who could fuckin blame ya! You are a great great band and have written amazing music and lyrics. The music's there forever and thank fuck! Time to snooze blues.Rest well.
Very sad news.... Thank you for all the wonderful songs, the inspiration and the kick arse gigs! Congratulations on a super career, too. See yer in September. Please play The Jub-Jub bird and Thankyou not today! Absolute legends. You'll never be forgotten! x
Really sad news. Not overstating it to say it feels like losing a friend. Thanks for the last fifteen years of top albums, outstanding B-sides and killer shows. Really looking forward to the final shows now. And the comeback tour hopefully.
