I think there should be a way to "narrow-cast" bulletins/mass messages based on the zip code or gender of the recipients.
I have received far too many bulletins from bands in the UK in connection with upcoming concerts in places like Reading and Liverpool--or, for that matter, Tokyo--that have nothing to do with me. As much as I would like to attend, it is not really possible, and it (1) wastes my time and (2) makes me resent the band for wasting my time.
Why can't there be a way to send mass messages to people on one's list that are, say, within 50 miles of the 95008 zip code about an upcoming concert or event ... or to all the females on one's list about an upcoming sale on women's shoes?

My Mommy and Dad are splitting up. My Dad is joining the US army (which I think is silly, he should have joined my army!) and my Mommy doesn't want me anymore. I have about 1 week to find a new home.
I don't like kids, I don't like ridding in cars, I don't like strangers, I don't like other animals, I don't like loud noises, I don't like being bothered all the time.
I don't have claws so I am indoor only, and I can't scratch up your furniture (no matter how hard I try). Because of the type of breed I am, I have to eat Science Diet Hair Ball Control Brand food. I am obviously house trained (As all cats are). I am a male, but I have NEVER sprayed, that's not really my scene.
I have all my shots. I am a long haired Manx. I entertain myself. I have all my shots and vaccines, and I come with two litter boxes, and my food and water dish. My current Mommy and Daddy work a lot and I am by myself about 8-16 hours a day, and that's fine. I like to be left alone, but if your home I will hang out in the room with you, just don't expect me to climb all up on you; I like to have my own space, and I don't need you cramping my style. I like chassing lasers. I like to sleep. I like sunbeams.
I am a living breathing thing. Not a toy. I am a major commitment. I am a life, and I will depend on you, so you must be dependable. You must be clean, I have never had fleas, and don't intend to start. You must be nice, and you must understand everything above, and I will be a great friend to you.
