    Lots of people have different meanings for the abbreviation "MC" But the new music sensation hailing out of the DMV (DC,Maryland,Virginia) area came to give another meaning to it. "I came to breath a new life in Mc'in" his response to criticism of "Mc" being an old school term. Mayo Quincy Westbrooks (born July 11, 1987) but better known as Early The Mc always had a life of traveling, never being able to call anywhere "home". Growing up in a divorce, his parents split when he was 8 which lead to leaving Virginia to live in Albany,Georgia with his father. Under his strict father's rules his ears were kept away from "hip hop", believing it would affect his studies in school. When The Mc reached 12, his father had found another job which was in Cherry Hill, New Jersey. When enrolling in the school in New Jersey, The Mc joined the band to find out his new found love for music. He practiced for hours until he was an expert at the trombone, trumpet, and the baritone. With gain always is loss, his father was diagnosed with Leukemia a fatal form of cancer which took his life when The Mc was only 14. The Mc was left in the New Jersey apartment for over 2 weeks until his mother who lived in D.C found out of the terrible news. When The Mc moved to D.C he was exposed to everything his father had tried to keep him away from. Confusion lead The Mc to start to hang around the wrong crowds which lead him to trouble during his first year in high school. A fellow student The Mc frequently was with brought a gun to school which lead to The Mc and lots of other students involved expelled from school. In attempt to not be set back in school, his mother sent him to New York with his grandparents to finish the year. The school board in New York decided to let The Mc back in school but only in ISS (In School Suspension), where he would only sit in a cubicle to do his work. The Mc would finish all the work from classes very early leaving him with empty time until the school bell rung. To help the time pass he would write down raps, and things he thought of during the day. When The Mc would get home from school he'd practice all night with his cousins until he became more confident to express it freely. Noticing the boys from the high school would always "battle" rap during the transit on the train to school, The Mc would enter just to perfect his craft. Arrival back to DC he began recording music non stop. At the age of 17 he had gotten his girlfriend of 2 years pregnant in search for the best way to take responsibility he joined the U.S Navy. Upon completion of boot camp, he called home to find out she had a mis-carriage. The Mc was sent to San Diego, California to be stationed where he began to take his music to another level. Making lots of sacrifices he saved up to buy his own home studio where he would be able to create with no interruptions.

    This is what people do to kind of put an "order" to things is categories, which I believe is a trap in itself to box an Artist, such as my self, in a Genre where I won't be able to "leave" and "branch out"..lol So Don't Classify me as "Hip Hop" or "Rap" Call Me MUSIC, THIS SOUNDS LIKE SOUND, This is like Beethoven Sound, Just Feel The Vibration and Just Vibe Alright.. At A TIME where everything is soooo uhh soo ..Burger King soo..Mcdonalds (not knockin the one dollar meals!) but its processed food so much the original taste isn't there anymore, but My MUSIC, is Organic, this is Hand Picked Music, ALRIGHT!!! There is no Green Screen behind me, We currently own our own home studio and make it sound like it came from Dr.Dre's basement alright.!!! Sometimes the neighbors get tired of it, o by the way SHOUTS OUTS TO MY NEIGHBORS FOR PUTTIN UP WITH THE BEATS THRU THE NIGHT SORRY!!! ONCE WE MAKE IT WE'LL MOS DEF COMPENSATE FOR ALL THE LOST SLEEP!!!! -EARLY THE MC
