How beautiful is the snowshine in your eyes, so directly current from the static in your mind. I find your eyes to be a wondrous amusement park filled with neo-plastic pleasures and turkish delights. Wood nymphs sprinkle your path with rose petals while you dance and prowl in the sequined moonlight with leftover cupcake sprinkles. You ever remind me of the enigma of happy thoughts I once forgot. Your beauty is multiplexed in contemplation of your multidimensional effervescence. The elves that play in the toasters wash their drum sticks in honey and sing strikingly colored anthems in perfect harmonious pleasure. Your eyes show as many deep and full shades of fire as a volcano in heat. The sand runes crossing your divided consciousness do speak of contemptuous monsters being slayed by flying phoenixes. You are dressed with filaments and people take pains to make you fully incandescent this evening. Please let me hear more of that wonderful sound. The music that flows from your instruments overwhelms me with creativity.

Een uniek tijdsbeeld!
Door filmmaker – kunstenaar Chris Relleke

Tijdens de eerste twee jaren van de Roxy fotografeerde en interviewde Chris Relleke bezoekers in dit housepaleis. Het begin van de house, acid en de eerste XTC ervaringen.




Hij studeerde in ’89 af aan de Gerrit Rietveld academie met zijn documentaire dia installatie “Empty House” waarin hij zijn beelden en interviews vertoonde die op 20 juni opnieuw te zien zullen zijn tijdens Keep the fire burning in Paradiso.
Van dit unieke tijdsdocument komt binnenkort een fotoboek uit. Wil je hiervan op de hoogte worden gehouden mail dan naar roxy@chris-relleke.com
