    .. Baby Girlz: Bound for Greatness .. Since the late 1950s, a number of female vocal groups began to produce songs that mixed doo wop harmonies with R & B music. Since their appearance, female groups have evolved and left a blueprint to follow. Groups like the ultra-sophisticated Supremes, the soulful Patti Labelle’s and the Blue Belles,” and pop stars “The Pointer Sisters.” The hip hop era brought divas like Salt & Pepa and TLC and , who opened the door for modern day sensations Destiny’s Child. They all have continued to inspire and influence music. Focused to continue the musical legacy, is Kansas City’s own “Baby Girlz,” .. “Baby Girlz” was formed in 2004, when sisters Clarice “Clair Bear” and Robin “Robbo” Hill, who had performed together since age nine, decided they wanted to form a group. Although the sisters possess great vocal and dancing skills, their father Robert Hill, encouraged them to form a group that would with stand the test of time. .. The group began to perform in a number of venues and shows in the area, but soon meet with their first bit of adversity. The Hill sisters did not let this discourage them, and stayed focus on their dreams. Acting on a suggestion from their music producer “Black Beats”, they would experience a few more changes trying to get the perfect vocal blend and group chemistry. .. With an unique style, a meticulously crafted image, astonishing vocal harmonies, and a fresh new sound that’s a creative blend of Gospel, Jazz, Hip-Hop, Soul, Pop, and R&B, and stage presents beyond there years, - Baby Girlz in just a little over two years has gained a strong fan base in and out of the Kansas City Metro area. Their shows are filled with more than just singing, and have gained a reputation for having energetic rapping and precision choreography. .. They’ve had numerous opportunities to perform in a number of venues throughout the United States, and have opened for many local and national artist. Recently, the girls were featured guest at Hot 103’s Local Youth Talent Search, along with music sensation Sammie and a Tribute to the Supremes and senate of Kansas city mo. .. They moved to Phoenix,Arizona and have performed all over the city of the sun ,including opening for Souljaboy at The Phoenix College and also at the State Fair of Arizona. ..
