It all started with Dave Dufner(Guitar) and Scott Varela(Vocals) in 1996. Not too long after what started out as just several "jam" sessions we realized there was something there. We then added Mike Vandeman(Guitar), Brian Guin(Drums), and Glen Huff(Bass) to our line up. Anger's Mine was born. Mr Matthew Graves (Jr) would go around leveling all our amps till one day he said man guys i'm getting a board to run you all thru. Years later Matt is one of the biggest sound engineers in the area. By 1997 we went Live under the name "Kush". We played with many of the biggest bands that were in the area at the time such as Mispent Youth, Zero Divide, Cyrus Bliss, Stronger than Seven, and Soulmine. We played at the Planet, the Alley, R Bar, Southtown to name a few as well as many outside functions and a few lake parties. Opened for a few of the major venues that came thru Club SS including Kiss Army, Ac/Dc Tribute, and was booked for the Warrant show. Kush had several hundred fans from the local area on our mailing list and had a decent amount of merchandising thru shirts and so on. Towards the end of 1999 we disbanded for many reasons. Which we all left on great terms and most of us still talk today.
Recently Dave Dufner has recently picked it back up. Kush will bring you the same intense music and live performances as before only on the next level and the music being modernized. We have a lot of networks between the members in this band and well over 20 years of combined live experience.
The Members
Dave Dufner
Dave is the main songwriter and founder of Kush. He plays all his guitars upside down and strung backwards. Dave has an unrelenting passion for music writing and the creation of melodic but driven guitar riffs and powerful middle sections. Dave's quote:
" Music comes from the soul, express it!"

Friday March 20th is the FINAL round of the Battle of the Bands at The Planet.
Come one and all friends, fans, family members, local band members and metal-heads to The Planet to support “What thou Will” and the local metal scene.
We have been chosen to cover “This Love” by Pantera. Just wait until you hear our rendition of the metal classic!
We hope to see EVERYBODY at The Planet this Friday (Feb 27th) for the Battle of the Bands!
We intend on being in the finals with Dissonent, Buk & Last Scene Ends.
We are the first band so you should be there around nine just to ensure that you won't miss us. We are hoping everyone will stay until the end of the night and make noise for “What thou Will” because the applause meter is 1/3 of the overall score for judging. Crowd participation and presence during the set is also a big factor. We are performing a randomly chosen cover song for this show only (REM, Everybody Hurts) and our execution of the cover song is another 1/3 of the overall score for judging. We will definitely brutalize the hell out of it “What thou Will” style.
