| | Movies | I don't watch many movies but I can say that Ghost was one of my all time favorites along with O brother where art thou.
| | Television | I Rarely watch TV...However, I do occasionally enjoy Discovery Channel Health, Moon light, Ghost Whisper, and Millionaire.
| | Books | When I read it's usually the bible, or medical literature.
| | Heroes | My parents....They always set good examples through the life that they lived when I was growing up. I've had a lot of medical problems over the past few years and they have encouraged me through it all.

About me:
Having two rare diseases Cushing's and Sarcoidosis along with a host of related illnesses I realize how debilitating chronic illness is. Every aspect of my life has been affected. It’s been a long hard journey for me. However, it has made me a stronger person and I have learned to appreciate the simple things in life.
Helping others gives me a sense of purpose and helps me believe that my illnesses are not all in vain. Because of this, I volunteered to be a representative for The Cushing's Understanding Support & Help Org. And later accepted the position of treasurer after being elected in 2003. The organization is a non-profit 501-C and was formed in an effort to promote Cushing's awareness, show support to those who are going through test, treatment, and recovery. Patients need awareness and support while everyone needs more awareness in order to bring about improved diagnosis, treatment and recovery.
