I saw Sonny with Byard Lancaster's band sometime around 1966, I think. They played the Barn Arts Center in Delran, New Jersey. I remember "Satan" and "Many Mansions", two tunes that would pop up later in his repertoire. My brother and I talked with Sonny and the other musicians between sets. He made a great impression on me and I still carry some of his influence. Listen to Butterfingers on my MySpace page.
