Late one night on May 6, Keith woke up to a world new to him with unfamiliar surroundings. With his parents staring down at him as if they knew his destiny was to accomplish great things, they seemed like no stranger to him. Born in Brooklyn, NY and raised in Ft. Lauderdale, Fl, Keith was always exposed to great music from an early age.
While his mother was a genuine lover of music(reggae, soul, rock), his father was a DJ and singer(The Beltones) from his early days back in Jamaica. At the early age of 4 Keith was curious about what it would be like to play records like he always saw his father doing, and that was when he decided to turn the volume up to 10 on the stereo and put the needle to the groove. It was then he realized that music was going to be in his life in one way or another.
Throughout high school Keith was entering talent shows whether it be rapping or dj'ing. He also would spin at a local club spot on weekends when the chance came around. While Keith was enjoying dj'ing, he felt something was missing and college was where he found out what that gap was. It was music production. At this time, he decided to put the turntables down and pick up several beat machines. While he sat in everyday at a local studio, he was learning all that he could to start arranging and mixing songs on his own.
Things were falling into place except for the most important thing according to his parents which was college. At that point, Keith decided to make a drastic change and quit college with just 1 semester left before he received his Computer Science degree. He worked two jobs five days a week in order to save up money to move to the center of it all, Los Angeles California. When he arrived, he felt as if he was just a needle in a haystack. He was determined and networked, putting together tracks while working two day jobs to survive.
He eventually had a pre-destined meeting through mutual friends which lead to a sour business endeavor but ended up being the best career meeting that could've happened to him. He met Neal Pogue(Grammy Award Winning mixer/producer - Outkast/Nelly Furtado) and he took a liking to Keith's odd style of beats and against the grain but laid back attitude. Ever since, Neal has taken Keith under his wing showing him the ins and outs of music production and the industry in general. Together with Neal's production company(Fulton Yard), they have been putting together great songs for some upcoming artists to be on the lookout for.
