The group transformed into two members Sy and B-EZ who currently reside in Kuwait making Hip Hop for those around the world that love good music. .... Who are you and what makes you different? .. 100 Proof is a group like none other. WIth Sy and B-Ezs' original, witty and life portraying lyrics they set themselves apart from other artists that emulate whatever other artists are doing. 100 Proof is not afraid to be different and push the envelope. The group members speak their minds and talk about real life issues in a clever and entertaining way that will have listeners pressing repeat on their music players and requesting more and more music from 100 Proof for years to come. .... When did your journey with music start? .. Sy and B-EZ where childhood friends that grew up with an ambition to make music without either one of them knowing the other had ambitions to do so. In 2000 Sy went off to school in Tallahassee, FL and continued to nurture his lyrical talents as B-EZ remained in Jacksonville to finish School. The two met back up in the spring of 2001 and discovered that they both had a passion for hip hop and decided to find a studio and pursue the dream. After several studio sessions and completed tracks B-EZ enlisted into the Air Force and was sent off to Valdosta, GA. THis move put a halt in the dream due to the troubles with arranging studio sessions and performances. While in Georgia B-Ez met Air Force colleague G-MAC who turned out to be a producer and aspiring Hip Hop Artist. B-EZ introduced MAC to Sy and 100 Proof became a group of 3. The group produced and recorded several tracks together and were ready to put together their first group project when B-EZ was called to go serve his country in Iraq. The project was put on hold while B-EZ was deployed with intentions of picking up where the group left off upon his return. Upon B-EZ's return another curve ball was thrown in the groups direction. G-MAC made a decision to give up rapping to devote his life to the Lord and study to become a Minister. Then there were two. All of the tracks that the three group members completed were unable to be used because of the effect it could have on G-MAC and his aspirations of becoming a Minister. The group, now back to two members, without a dedicated producer went back to the drawing board and started making new music. That new music is the sound you will hear from them in their current projects. .... What are your future plans? .. 100 Proof Plans on creating an enterprise that emulates what the groups name represents which is "Be 100% Living Proof." Look to Give 100% in all that you do, whatever it is. In order to achieve this 100 Proof plans on creating a creative line of motivational outerwear, a youth mentorship program, an informative web community, and other inspiring and enriching ventures. ....
