    ~~~~~~ COLDPLAY!!! What I listen to changes depending on the season I am in. I am loyal and Really Dig staying with someones musical growth and development. I LONG for a good soundtrack, and they are usually where I get introduced to new music. I am always up for a good original score... I stay through the credits rolling. I will get on a kick, and only listen to one album all week...or one song for that matter. Just check out my play list.
    Ever since you made the comment about baking being therapeutic for me I have been thinking about food.  Food in culture, mythology, religion, and folklore.  Food as a sensual, creative force.  Food as a centerpiece to family bonding and story telling.
    I've been writing in my journal about it.
    “Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are
    powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness, that frightens us most.
    We ask ourselves, 'Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, and famous?'
    Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does
    not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that people
    won't feel insecure around you. We were born to make manifest the glory of God
    that is within us. It's not just in some of us; it's in all of us. And when we let our
    own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As
    we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.”
    My version of the Serenity prayer is Scarlett's, "I will not think about this right now.  I will think about it tomorrow."  For the most part it works.
    :D
    "You have always gotten through things. You Will make it through..."
    Everyone has been saying that to me lately.  Incidently, I asked the Trees, and the Sky, and the Polar Bears, and the Leaves, and all these wonderful earthy things to change one little hiccup in my life.  It changed.
    As I am not a Christian, I no longer pray to God.  But, as I am a Universalist I do believe His/Her Spirit is in everything.  In the words of V for Vendetta:  "God is in the Rain."
    I start a new job Monday.  It is a long story...  Before that I had a job offer at a place wanting to pay me the wages of a slave driver (illegal) and work me 77 hours a work.  I was worried I would have no choice in the matter...  Hence the calling upon Mother Nature to resolve the situation.  She heard me.  She usually does.  I'll have to make her a pie.
    It is my poem.  I must be going senile.  Actually, I am just really freaked out right now.  And my brain is trying to fling itself from my skull and run far far away.
  • Nov 12 2009 6:34 PM
    I am going to ask a retarded question.  Did I write that poem or did you write that poem?  Because you know what, I do not remember and it seems like one of mine.  Fuck.  Now I am going to have to go through all my damn books.
    Okay...I just asked why.  That was a stupid question.  Just watched the vids.  I have decided to paint again  (I know, AGAIN...) but I totally cannot afford paints.  It is driving me crazy.  I have this wonderful idea in my head and I need to get it out.
    Did you know that Clive Barker paints?  His work is amazing.  He is very profilic -- diarrhea of the brush.
