101 Clothing LLC is comprised of 4 hip hop lifers just trying to spread their dream and love for hip hop to the masses. This website is our "trunk" and these products are our "mixtapes". Why the name 101? What's that all about? The phrase 101 is usually associated with an introductory course, an overview...giving you the foundation for your particular area of interest. And here at 101, we strive to respect, preserve, and continue to build upon that foundation of hip hop that was laid down for us some 30 years ago. We're just a small portion of the millions and millions that eat, sleep, and breathe hip hop. From the emcees, to the artists, to the breakers, and of course the DJ's (the true foundation)...from the gangstas to the gurus, conscience to crunk...its all hip hop (some obviously a lot better than others), and they all play a part in this lifestyle. As the Teacher once said, "Rap is something you do, Hip Hop is something you live." And with that being said...let us say to you...welcome to 101. HIP HOP...This Is My Life.
