Life in the streets of any American city is not easy. Many boys die, are imprisoned, or literally lose their minds. This is all too common and if you look at any newspaper or news show you'll see the inner-city neighborhoods coming apart at the seams. 10-20 knows this life all to well. He was a gang member, drug dealer and all-around thug in the streets of his small city in Northern Indiana. Indiana, is there street life in Indiana you ask? Wherever there is money to be made on the streets, there is street life and thug living whether it be a town of 1000 or a metropolis of ten million.
These days 10-20 doesn't dwell on the fact that he was molested as a child or even witnessed manslaughter in his home. He doesn't boast that bullets where thrown in his direction on more than a couple occasions nor does he dwell on having had to take several of his homeboys to the ER because of gang rivalry.
He does dwell on the redeeming power of the spirit of God. He does speak on the delivering power of God in the lives of not only thug individuals but anyone who calls on His name.
10-20 started rapping a couple decades ago, before many people even knew what Hip-Hop was. He was wooed by secular companies in his former life. Yet the providence of God wouldn't allow any of the deals to come through. It was not understood by 10-20 at the time but God made it clear that a deal in that realm would have left him like Tupac and Biggie Smalls.
10 is 1/3 of the Holy Hip-Hop supergroup known as The Losst Factor. This group is made up of Non-
Fiction: Tha ex-convict, GraFic: Tha Praywalker and 10-20: Tha b-Boy aPOSTLe. Be on the look out for their cd, entitled "The Refinery" presented by WFC Entertainment.
These days, 10-20 travels the country ministering grace and truth to anyone that will lend him a mic and a stage. Better yet, he ministers to anyone who will lend him a ear. If you choose to book or bring him to your church, venue, or festival you will definitely receive true ministry and trend setting music. Thanks for reading this and May the Lord bless you and keep you.
