My purpose with this message is to GLORIFY GOD in music by EQUIPPING the local hip hop culture, record labels, production companies, and ministries worldwide to multiply talented artists and to enable them to minister the Word of God through FRIENDSHIP, EVANGELISM, DISCIPLESHIP, AND HEALTHY GROWTH.
As a follower in Christ I am to tell the world that God is not mad at them and the reason why is because God has DONE IT ALL. First He changed US from enemies into His friends through sending Christ to die in their place. And then He gave us the job of making others His friends also. And we MUST tell them that God IS MAKING EVERYBODY IN THE WHOLE WORLD HIS FRIENDS BY WHAT CHRIST DID, AND THAT HE ISN'T COUNTING THEIR SINS AGAINST THEM ANY LONGER. And He has given US the message which tells people that GOD HAS MADE THEM HIS FRIENDS so that they all will be adopted as children of God. (2nd Corinthians 5:18-19 New Testament Everyday English Paraphrased).
I am also to declare to Christ's (Spiritual) Church (THE FEW CHOSEN) that we are of His body and that those (Carnal Church, THE MANY CALLED) who are put up dividing walls in the church that separate us--racial, denominational, doctrinal differences, etc.--are not true members of His body. And we must come out of that (carnal) church so we can get our job done as HIS ONE church, the body of Christ, THE CHURCH OF THE LIVING GOD.
The giant difference between the physically called of God and the spiritually Chosen of God is that the first are immature babes, and the second are spiritually mature sons—having the mind of Christ. If you believe in Jesus Christ, you are in the Church. But if you are in Christ Jesus, then you are no longer in the physical carnal church, but in God’s spiritual Church—the very Body of Christ. Let me assure you on the authority of all the Sacred Scriptures that carnal (enmity filled hatred) minded Christians are not members of the spiritual body of Christ. Jesus Christ is preparing a "bride"—a VIRGIN bride. Our Lord will not marry a whore or prostitute—Mystery Babylon.
"For MANY [THE 'MAJORITY' IN THE CHURCH] are called [Gk: 'invited'] but FEW [THE 'MINORITY' IN THE CHURCH] are chosen [Gk: 'selected, elected, chosen out; by implication: favorite']" (Matt. 22:14).
Few realize that there is a "church WITHIN the church." When God chooses us FROM AMONG the called, we become separate from their doctrines and sins. We are still "The Church of the Living God," but we are a peculiar people that no longer follows the traditions of men, which the many called who are building the house upon the sand continue to follow. The Bible refers to the "called" as "the Synagogue of Satan" and to the "chosen" as "the Body of Christ." But Jesus Christ calls both groups in the book of Revelation: "The mystery [Gk: 'to shut the mouth, a secret or "mystery" (through the idea of silence imposed by initiation into religious rites)'] of the ... seven golden candlesticks ... the seven candlesticks which thou sawest are the seven churches [Seven (God’s number of completeness) represent the WHOLE CHURCH OF GOD down through centuries to our very day]."
THE 7 CHURCHES ARE GOD’S CHURCHES
Make no mistake, the seven churches in Revelation 2 and 3 are the churches of the Living God! They are not pagan churches, neither are they Satan’s churches, but they are GOD’S churches! It is none other than Jesus Christ Himself Who,
"...walks in the midst of the seven golden candlesticks [which are the seven churches]" (Rev. 2:1).
"He that has [been given by God] an [spiritual] ear, let him [spiritually] hear what the Spirit [of GOD] says [is saying] unto the churches" (Rev. 1:7, 11, 17, 29, 2:6, 13, 22).
This is not a dissected church divided up into particular or separate dispensations, ages, or eras.
I will do this first by,
A. Holding firmly to the truth of the Good News of the Kingdom of God as Christ has taught me, that I may be able by sound and wholesome doctrine to:
B. Encourage Christians who are persecuted to continue in the truth of God's Word.
C. Attempt to present the unadulterated Truth of God’s Word.
D. And to convict, correct, and oppose those whose teachings contradict the Word of God. (Titus 1:9-11, Concordant Literal New Testament.)
For there are many unruly, smooth talkers, and deceivers, especially those who claim to be Christian: whose mouths must be stopped, who overthrow whole houses, teaching things which they should never teach, for the purpose of making a profit. And I will remember always as I attempt to enlighten those whom God is calling, that we are NO BETTER than those whose doctrines we condemn. God loves and DIED for these heretics of the modern Church. They are precious to God—and they had better be PRECIOUS TO US, or we too will receive a great condemnation for feeling anything but LOVE TOWARD THEM! They may be, in fact, our enemies, but Christ instructs us to: "…LOVE YOUR ENEMIES"!!
Second, we want to build from scratch the already corrupted music scene to challenge both mainstream rappers and underground hip hop heads to step up to a level of real artistic lyricism and poetic skills. That it will draw both the commercial and underground from the beef between themselves by seeing music from a new perspective and not the deception.
Last, I wanna challenge all music, not just hip hop to be positive role models in the Lord for their children's sakes. God says, "For by Jesus were all created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible [that includes hip hop] all were created by Jesus, and for Jesus: And Jesus is before all, and by Jesus all things hold together. And Jesus is the Head of the body, the church: Jesus is the Beginning, the Firstborn from the dead; that in all [including music] Jesus might have first place in rank and order." (Author’s paraphrase of Colossians 1:16-19).
You see, hip hop belongs to Jesus anyway, cause when He comes back He's gonna ask you what did you do with His talents and gifts He gave you, and how you used Hip Hop. To speak the devils lies, or to tell the world about Him and how much He loved us all enough to give us hip hop to glorify Him.
What's it gonna be hip hop?
I know that many people think I am too hard on Christian heresy & divisive false doctrines. That’s because I love them. Would you not show a little "hard" tough love to your children if they were taking mind-destroying DRUGS? Well it is my opinion that Christian heresies & divisive false doctrines are mind-destroying drugs as well. This ministry is a love/hate ministry -- love for all God’s creatures and hate for all the spiritual mind-destroying heretical & divisive false doctrinnal drugs out there on the streets and on the air waves around the world.
God doesn't need your help, my help, a missionary's help, or anybody else's help to save His children. God does use teachers, pastors, etc. to acquaint people with His Word. But this is a privilege for us, not a necessity for God. Remember the Scripture, that God can "raise up stones" if needed.

SHORT BIO ABOUT REASON (YOU CAN CALL IT MY TESTIMONY):
Born Ricardo Jerome Butler in Orlando, FL on December 12th, 1978. I picked up my love for hip hop in about 85' when my uncle used to play Run DMC and D.J. Jazzy Jeff and the Fresh Prince records. I grew up around bass music like DJ. Magic Mike before it turned into the booty (then unto crunk) movement. I started off in hip hop as a graffiti artist, then into hip hop dancing and afterwards a little break dancing. But after I heard the Nas/Illmatic album one New Years Eve in 1994 going into 1995, I declared myself a rapper and hadn't wrote one single rhyme.
Earlier on in life I did poetry and one a lot of the contest in middle school. But I had no idea I actually liked to do it. The Illmatic album captivated me. Around that time Christ had been calling me prior to that, but I didn't understand the going to church thing, why all the division, different denominations, or doctrinal differences, or anything like that. The only place where I saw unity was in the streets among the gang members. I joined the Black Gangsta Disciples and ran with folk nation all the way up to prison. More on that later. So actually, I didn't start really walking with the Lord until 2004.
Anyway, I picked Bishop as my first rap name. The reason why I changed it to Reason is a whole other story. But I started out with a group of three. We called ourselves Physiological Ruckus. It was me, Mygrane (who is now part of Open Campain), and Skrapie (who is now past away, RIP). Then me and Mygrane became Mental Dizkreshon with DJ Murdoc (who is now the other half of Open Campain, now do you get that picture?). So I got married had a daughter, served in the Army for 3 years, all the while still doing hip hop for fun, not looking for a record deal. (And I’m still not looking for a record deal. My record deal came from Jesus anyway).
Finally my life took a turn for the worst. I caught a domestic battery charge fighting my former wife, and ended up in the system. Then I ended up violating my probation. The judge sentenced me to 18 months in prison. The same day I was sentenced was the same day I knew without a doubt in my heart and mind that God had been calling me. And I just said to myself I couldn't run from God's call anymore.
My life was basically a Jonah story. I missed my mark when I was younger. But now the Lord got me back on track. When I was in prison, I asked the Lord, "How can I still do rap anymore?" My heart was still dirty, and my tounge was full of bad words. I haven't even heard Christian hip hop before. So I had nothing to like motivate me or something to show me how to do it.
At the time I asked the Lord that question, I was reading the call of Moses. God had asked Moses what was in his hand. And Moses told God he had the staff or rod. And God asked me a similar question. He said what's in your hand Ricardo. I said a pencil and some paper. He said "Just write, I'll do the rest." In one week I had wrote the entire "God's Armor" album. And after I looked over it, I could not take any credit for it. I fell on my face and cried like Peter did in front of Jesus on Peter's boat concerning the fishing net situation. God asked me, "Did you ever wonder why you know and quote so much of My Scriptures, and people come up to you and ask you how did you learn all those Scriptures, and you said you didn't know, that they just seemed to pop into your head." I said yea. And God was like, "I did that, so that when you wrote your songs all you would be doing is rhyming Scriptures."
And that was the day when Reason Disciple and God's Armor Music, Discipleship & Leadership Online Ministries was born. It was January 8th, 2005 when that took place. And God has blessed me with a new godly wife as well and my third child. Now I have 3 beautiful girls in my life that God has placed in my care. And I will continue to follow Christ as He leads, guides, and corrects me.
"But (I) sanctify (separate unto myself) the Lord (Jesus) God in my heart: and am ready always to give You all an answer to every person that asks me a "ReAsOn" of the hope (or Jesus Christ) that is in me with meekness and fear (or humility and respect)." (1 Peter 3:15 author paraphrase).
