Poker, eating something, sleeping at some pointyeah, I pretty much love all things poker. Im also known to get my frisbee golf on from time to time, because I need something to keep me in top physical shape. Im pretty interested in coming back to the rest of my interests later.
MMA, parkour, stand up comedy, scrabble, go, playing soccer poorly, people who are batshit insane. small monkeys cant believe I forgot that one. Small monkeys get me really excited
Music
I have done you the courtesy of not setting my musical selection to autoplay when my page opens. You should still listen to it.I have "Israelites" by Desmond Dekker and the Aces stuck in my head something fierce. It was the 10th greatest song of the 60s (or so Ive been told) but nobody has heard of it.
Apollo 440, Asian Dub Foundation, Beastie Boys, Blackalicious, Cage, Dan the Automator, the Eels, El-P, MC Paul Barman, MF DOOM, Ozomatli, Prodigy, propellerheads, RJD2, Screaming Trees, Soul Coughing, Soundgarden, Spiritualized, Ugly Duckling, White Stripes
To summarize: 90s rock
, mid to late 90s electronica, and nerd rap. With a lot of other stuff thrown in to round it out.Movies
Television
I was talking to Nathan today about which television shows you would want to see every single episode of. So far my list is: Venture Brothers, Arrested Developement, Firefly, and there was one other that Im blanking on. sports night, homicide, invader zim...High Stakes Poker...Books
Ive been reading these Anthony Bourdain books recently. It doesnt matter what kind of disgusting kitchen practices hes talking about, the books makes you hungry. Its like they dip them in MSG.Just read My Friend Leonard by James Frey. I dont know what the big deal is about him making stuff up in his books, those would be much more impressive if they were actually fiction. My understanding however is that 99.5% of the stuff in them is true.
I like the usual nerd author favorites, Stephenson, Gaiman, Sterling (not Gibson).
I hated Grapes of Wrath, couldnt even finish it. It just depressed the hell out of me.
I gave up on fantasy years ago, and Ive turned my back on SF for the most part too. Im currently reading "Light" which is supposed to be an incredibly good book, but its just driving home how hard it is to get into a SF book.
I should read more Ian M Banks, any recommendations?
Books Im currently trying to read: Light, Haunted, 1984, The Tipping Point
Heroes
Are a type of sandwich. They would work perfectlyyou know what? Going with the sandwich idea, Im gonn just pretend that this section is called "Food" because Id much rather talk about food than my heroes, and I dont think that much of the food I like is "heroic". Ill follow up on this later.
Heroic food #1: Gnochi (did I spell that right?) Gnochi are frigging delicious, take roughly 2 minutes to make, and transcend the boundaries of food categorization. Speaking of blowing my mind, do I say "Gnochi is..." or "Gnochi are...", in other words do I treat it as a stuff? These are the problems you run into with pasta. Either way, Gnochi is (are?) heroic. Eat it (them? fuck) now.
Cous-cous is great. Talk to me about cous-cous. Great name, great food. Easy to prepare, and delicious. I just call it cous sometimes because were on an informal first-name basis. Cous! A while back I couldnt make cous-cous without making puns, but im over that now. That wasnt working well for anybody.
Heres a little something for you: Barley bitches, cause Im taking it back to the old school. Barley in soup, barley everywhere. Expect it to happen big in 2007. Word em up.

About me:
I dont have any pictures of myself, so I had to make do in MS Paint. My eyes are not actually that tall in real life.I dont like using apostrophes.
I am shockingly good at ping pong.
I have an LJ page for those who care, it is here . Unfortunately, large parts of it are just me talking about poker, you have been warned.
Im a professional poker player. But my friends the colonoscopy technician and the apprentice blacksmith make my job look pretty mundane.
Read these two quotes today and had to record them somewhere, this is as good a place as any:
- "you cant really kill a limit player, theyre already dead on the inside"
- "Minbet poker can kill someone a hell of a lot harder than NL. Losing 1000BB's at NL is like getting shot in the face. Losing 1000BB's at limit (or minbet as you want to call it) is like punched to death by a 4 year old. It is fantastic."
If youre asking someone to move slow, thats me. If youre asking someone to move fast, youd better ask me later. In fact youd better ask me now, Ill think about it later. And then after that later... later on... ill move. But its not gonna be fast, its gonna be creeping. Thats the whole point of the fucking song bitch.
Who I'd like to meet:
Id like to "meet" people I already know, mostly people who I dont see enough of or talk to much anymore. Of course if you are deserving of meetment for other reasons, Im willing to keep an open mind.the unintentionally unpredictable.
I like people with big eyes and quick wits
Id like to meet someome who would read my fucking blog, and then maybe leave a comment. Does such a person exist, anywhere?

Actually Darkstar and PsyOp failed to show up. You can be whoever you want to be.
My inner spider monkey that I channeled for the climb yesterday really wishes it had stretched beforehand. How're you holding up?
I wish Myspace would notify you when I make a comment on my blog to your comment on my blog, but it doesn't. So here is your notification. :)
This probably isn’t as good or funny as my Humberto Jaws remake, but had a few spare moments and slapped this together. Please excuse the n00bness of it, I am not a graphic designer.

Also, note the small touches. I put Helmuths UB logo on the vader suit and helmet , and then PokerStars logo on Daniels luke costume. Please enjoy the classic Hollywood remake……………….Return Of The Poker Jedi!
what does that even mean?
hey dude! I've just been chillin'; haven't really been doing any writing. To lazy, I guess. I need to stop by and give you that money I owe you for the Vegas trip, though. Interested in some poker this Friday?
omg, manuvah, are you yet back?
Jess is at the final table today of the 2K Omaha hi/lo event. I'm putting up $100 for people showing support in the thread over at my forums. Check out RakeReport.net and the Poker Media & News section of the forums!
