Today I looked in the mirror and smiled. I looked at myself and said I was good enough I looked at my eyes, the window into my soul and I saw a person that has come full circle The struggles associated with success Affixated me at one point But I survived that Just like i survived... Him. The sacred word of all gay men. Gay men live in a world where our president wants discrimination into our consitution Where some fear to be themselves and those that do are in a hunt for HIM the reason why they came out the savior, the love, the commitment the solidarity of a regular lifestyle. I have seen the lowest of lows due to love and the highest of highs And my journey through that has been a remarkable one I am working on a journey to be completely comfortable to be completely happy and content if I was completely alone Without that pack of friends without that boyfriend you hate or love Without that dependable family I will not defined by him. I will not be defined. and if you decide to define me, you probably don't know me too well You can call me a deep thinker a true friend a loyal, honest person a hardworker and you can also see that I am imperfect I am hard on myself I want alot everyday I struggle with the balance of being able Able to truly embrace my posessions My goal in life: To be able to face the wind, in the sunlight and think nothing of the beauty while still having that career while still being in love while still living a lifestyle I want. I want to be at peace I pray for it each day within myself and these days: I recieve it. Is it god? I really don't know If it is, thank you. If its not, pray for it anyway When internal peace is reached Maybe the living will rest in peace, instead of the dead. However, this is wishful and artistic thinking. What I do want is a goal, a direction a reason to wake up a person to want to see a person I look up to A friend I want to call a place I want to see while still having that peace on the majority of days
