We honestly don't sound like anything you've ever heard, so prepare for a new experience.
1027 started when Tristan Soulier, Chan Wheaton, Brandon Semler, and Aaron Perry jammed in Tristan's basement. We started writing new music at the first practice, and thought that the band was worth starting. We are constantly writing new material to put into use. We have a few recordings that you are probably listening to while reading this, unless you have your volume down.
A member was added earlier in the year: Melissa Underwood, who plays keyboard. We are currently booking any shows that we can get. We will play parties, festivals, venues, and pretty much any sort of occasion you can think of. Hey guys this is a sample of the flyer that went out for the show the 14th. It also has pics but myspace comment thing didn't read them for some reason.
There is currently a search for two types of bands for record label consideration.
*** Note: PLEASE IDENTIFY IF YOU ARE IN GROUP 1 OR 2 IN THE SUBJECT LINE OF YOUR RESPONSE. Emails are being reviewed by different representatives.
1. A Pop/Rock/Commercial band with female lead. Band must consist of 2 guitars (Prefer both guitar players to be of lead caliber. However, one lead and one rhythm is acceptable), keyboard/piano, bass, and drums. Lead vocal, followed by backing vocals, in that order, is a plus as it relates to other members of the group. Average age of the band cannot exceed 28 years of age.
* Group must have an outstanding lead vocalist. ** Musicianship throughout the entire band must be very strong. *** Group cannot currently be under any contract of any type that is related to the music industry.
2. A Modern Rock band with male lead. Must be a complete band but there are no prerequisites as it relates to the make up of the band. Average age of the band cannot exceed 23 years of age.
* Group must have an outstanding lead vocalist. ** Musicianship throughout the entire band must be very strong. *** Group cannot currently be under any contract of any type that is related to the music industry.

Only send one email with your links. Due to the volume of responses normally received for these types of opportunities. After review of your material, you will only be contacted if there is an interest in attending one of your shows by a label representative. As such please to not send any follow up emails regarding selections. If you were not contacted back, there was not an interest.
Dudes (and dudette), the new recordings are great. Vocals are very clear which is awesome because I caught a lot more of the lyrics, which are awesome. Hands down sounds great though. Hope to see you all soon. -B

Man, I haven't even follow this stuff that closely, but I laughed out loud at Troy's woman feeling the need to be his VALIANT WHITE KNIGHT. Funny stuff.
You guys are such backstabbers! wow, what friends...after all his family helped you! and believe me, you are losing a large audience...and if you plan on lying to the fans by telling them he quit...they already know that is bullcrap. Brandon...i'm so disappointed...if you were a true friend, like you say you are...you would have stood up for him! what were they gonna do? kick you out too? yeah right! your the leader and they know it! hell yeah i'm pissed at you!(for some reason i'm not mad at Mellisa) to everyone else...you have fun being the nonfunctional band that everyone now knows that you are...and vance knows how you did Troy..so have fun with that....HAPPY 4th!
Rigth now the only words I can think of is wow. I remember that day last summer when I first met you guys. my intial thought was oh just another band. But from that first song you guys played. you weren't just a band. You guys are amazing. Your THE band from court house thats going to make it big. Even since then you guys have prospered into so much more. your music is terrific. I am so proud of you guys. always beleive in your selfs . I sure do.
