My main interest in life is my spiritual pursuits, followed closely by pursuit of a musical career as a violinist. After those big heavyweights, the rest is too trivial to mention.
Music
I like music from all different genres, but most of the time I find myself listening to 80's rock/pop, Sting/Police, Bob Beland, Kurt Elling (jazz), Duran Duran, Kronos Quartet (I would love to play some of the stuff you guys do!), Beatles/Paul McCartney/John Lennon, and various classical pieces as well. I will not list the Classical music pieces I like the most because there are too many. If anyone wants to talk to me about it, feel free to send me a message.
Movies
Star Wars series, Star Trek II: Wrath of Khan, Mr. Smith Goes to Washington, It's a Wonderful Life(both w/Jimmy Stewart), Queen Christina (Greta Garbo), Superman(1st movie w/Christopher Reeve, funny romantic comedies such as Down with Love, The American President, Dune, Twin Peaks: Fire Walk With Me. I also like foreign movies: from Akira Kurosawa, Seven Samurai, Ran; from Federico Fellini, Juliet of the Spirits, 8 1/2, La Dolce Vita. Horror movies are out. Love Monty Python series and movies. Fisher King, Sideways, Blazing Saddles, History of the World, Part I, on and on I could go.
Television
I love Grey's Anatomy! I miss Six Feet Under, which is no longer on. I laughed my ass off when Comedy Central had the Roast of William Shatner! That was so raunchy! I was a TV junkie when I was a kid, but now that I don't watch TV as much anymore, I mainly have been watching news, sports, Grey's Anatomy and soaps. Sometimes, I will catch episodes of South Park (kick ass!), The Daily Show w/Jon Stewart, The Colbert Report, Bill Maher, and maybe some re-runs of Dave Chappelle.
Books
Masterpath books; currently reading Julie Andrews' bio called Home
Heroes
People who treat others with diginity and respect and don't interfere with another person's right to follow their own belief system. Anyone who doesn't use their belief system as a means to justify killing people who don't share the same beliefs. Anyone who is not afraid to stand up and be accountable for their actions and speak the truth that everyone needs to hear. Too many people, especially those in politcal power, are afraid of ruining their reputations by admitting to wrong doing or ratting someone out who clearly did something they should not have done. It all catches up with you at some point, so why not face it right from the start? Karma's a bitch and it will bite you in the ass!

I am a violinist living the Los Angeles Area. I was originally born in Elmhurst, Illinois, but spent most of my early childhood in Madison, Wisconsin. I moved out to the Los Angeles area in 1982, where I've lived in or near ever since. I am a member of the American Federation of Musicians, Local 47 and a member of Sigma Alpha Iota, a philanthropic music fraternity for women.
