Biography

Forming in 2006, Birmingham band Voodoo Johnson made massive waves in 2010 with the release of their debut album 10,000 Horses (produced by Romesh Dodangoda). Building on the success of their two earlier EP's, the album recieved critical acclaim from magazines such as Kerrang, Metal Hammer, Rock Sound and Big Cheese, with Classic Rock Magazine describing them as having "the potential to be global gods". Regular airplay from the likes of Johnny Doom on Kerrang radio and Bruce Dickinson on BBC Radio 6, and slots on covermount cd's for both Metal Hammer and Classic Rock's "2010 Ones to watch" cemented VJ's position as one of the best rock bands in Europe. Explosive support slots with The Answer and Duff McKagen's Loaded, as well as sharing stages with the likes of Motorhead and Monster Magnet at Hard Rock Hell and Guilfest festivals has only enhanced their growing reputation.

Having caught the attention of the band Europe, who invited VJ to support them on their UK Balls 'N Banners tour in February, and also Brian Tatler of Metallica favourites and NWOBHM legends Diamond Head (who has collaberated on the track Black Skies Mist due out in March), VJ look set to explode in 2011 with plans for a full tour of the UK and Europe and the release of an EP and album later in the year.
