    R.I.O.T was created in the beginning of 2006. 3 out of 4 members of Mind Conspiracy created a band for a music competition, the band was called RIOT. We created a song and played it and we were stuck. Our music blew our minds off and we wanted to continue. We realized that Mind Conspiracy's time was up since there was no spark left. We had another gig or two with R.I.O.T. until it was time to record our first demo. "Dead by natural causes" was recorded in just one day. Pontus had a broken finger, and Jakob recorded the vocals at 2 am. A broken finger and too little time just wouldn't stop us from rocking though, so we managed to record 4 songs on just that one day. .. We had a couple of shows, and wrote some more songs. In autumn 2006, we went to "Hulebäcksstudion", which is a studio at the gymnasium we attended to. We recorded the next, and our second, album "We are R.I.O.T.". This was also the time when we decided to change from RIOT to R.I.O.T. We are R.I.O.T. and we play hard rock ..     Nu är det dags för 2012 års upplaga av GP Scen, tävlingen där du som västsvenskt band eller artist kan få spela i finalen på Järntorget under Way out west-lördagen den 11 augusti samt vinna studiotid med Oskar Lindberg i Svenska grammofonstudion och promotion av Skiva. Det blir femte året vi kör tävlingen och antalet medverkande har stadigt ökat för att 2011 landa på över 350. Helt fantastiskt, tycker vi. Går det att slå i år?     Det blir fjärde året vi kör tävlingen och förra året var antalet deltagare över 350. Helt fantastiskt! Kan vi slå det? Redan nu ligger www.gp.se/scen öppen för registrering och ni Myspace-vänner får därmed några dagars försprång gentemot andra. Gå in, läs reglerna, ladda upp låten och se till att få röster! Så ses vi kanske i augusti!
    I reglerna står bland annat att ni måste vara verksamma i Västsverige, till alla er andra får jag be om ursäkt för att jag tagit er tid.
