iTunes has taken over my life...especially now that it's organized. These choices can all change on a whim:
Beck
Buck 65
Ben Harper
the Arcade Fire
James Brown
Coldplay
Weezer
Radiohead
Bloc Party
Rodeohead
Jamie Lidell
Wilco
G. Love
Billy Pilgrim
Matthew Kahler
Martin Sexton
Peter Mulvey
the Thorns
Brian Webb
Ellis Paul
Otis Redding
Curtis Mayfield
...and 80's music almost always rules. Except for that God-awful Toni Basil song. I also have a bit of a thing for certain catchy songs that people tell me "it's really not cool to like."..
Movies
I have a thing for really bad movies. And anything with Mr. T in it. Most of my friends have played the Showgirls drinking game at least once (and some do it on a regular basis). We'll leave it at that...
Television
In no particular order: Lost...House...Sports Night...That 70's Show...Heroes...Dawson's Creek...the Muppets...the Soup...&, of course, the Flying Circus. Yes, I know most of them are no longer on. I would avoid TV altogether, but since all my friends seem to be getting famous lately I find myself guilted into watching. I've also developed a sometimes-unhealthy addiction to the History Channel...
Books
Really? Sure you wanna go there? I was an English major. And I live next to a used book store. Still sure? 'K...The Amazing Adventures of Kavalier and Clay, The Pugilist at Rest, Whitman's 'Leaves of Grass,' Emerson's essays, Emily Dickinson, Wallace Stevens, Robert Bly, Madeleine L'Engle's Crosswicks journals, Stephen King's Gunslinger series, Flannery O'Connor's short stories, The Sound and the Fury, Anna Karenina (Tolstoy and I share a birthday, so I should be as good a writer as he is, right? right), Harry Potter, Atlas Shrugged, Wuthering Heights...& anything by Joyce...
Heroes
..Henry David Thoreau. Charles Ludlam. My parents. Andre the Giant.
About me: I make pretty, usable things. And when I'm not doing that, I jump out of airplanes.
Who I'd like to meet: I'm looking for a crew of approximately four - a pilot, a veteran with leadership qualities, a bouncer-type who knows his way around a welding torch, and a face-man. Crack commando experience a plus. Own van and car a plus. Access to cropduster a definite plus. Will pay expenses and bonus for successful completion of mission. Gunplay ok, but please - no deaths.
Holy cowshits! What an adorable little pal you've got there! Echo's doing awesomely, fat, sassy and lazy as always. Took him to the beach a week or so ago and he had a blast playing in the waves. He'd attack, then run away, then almost drown himself, then go right back to attacking. It was hilarious. Give Otto a hug for me and tell him Echo wants to sniff his butt. Ha. Hope all's well. I miss our rambling emails.
A friend and I were discussing the possibility of taking a greyhound bus out there to LA just for the hell of it. Of course, we'll pretend to be run-away slaves named Sassie and Buckwheat, and he said something about buying a thousand dollars of weed - which seems somehow unlikely - and we'll have to rig Echo up in one of those service dog suits, and we may just end up hitchhiking anyway, but yeah. How's that for a nice, ungrammatical sentence? And how the hell have you been, anyway?
HEY!!!!!!! whats up buddy? how have you been out there. I dont think i have talked to you sence. I think im going to have to make a trip out there when im done with my probation at work. Ill be done sometime around april next year. hope all is well say hi to tracy for me. ttyl.
Hey bro, does your friend Brian (don't know his last name... cool wingsuiter guy) have a myspace? Or do you know his e-mail? I got a great picture of him at the base course. I'm sure he'd love to have it!
the off-heading openings weren't a huge deal, it is completely clear under the bridge and we are open plenty high, but it was cold, and windy.. stupid wind
