Fuck Corporate Wank 2 (Multi Genre Benefit Comp for Japan) Ungovernable Resistance & Birds Out Distro are collabing together on our FCW 2 project. Anyone else who wishes to help us is welcome.... Last year we released the benefit comp FCW with Screaming From the Gutter to help our brothers & sisters in Haiti. With the recent and on-going traumatic events unfolding in Japan we have decided to make a new FCW comp in an effort to help our Japanese brothers & sisters. We are still in shock and can't begin to imagine or comprehend the situation in Japan and how people are feeling. One of our good friends lives in Japan and sings for the hardcore band Degrade so this is really important to us here at UR to try and do something to help. FCW 2 will be a multi genre comp and open to any non commercial music. Yes even music we don't like or that isn't our thing. In this instance its about showing solidarity and having as many different cultures help as possible. The comp will be free to download from our blog & with links to donation sites that can help the recovery effort in Japan. This is obviously relying on the good will of people in making donations, but its better to try than do nothing. Any amount donated no matter how small will aid our friends in Japan. The track limit for now is set at 40 tracks with the option to increase. Genre wise as we said this is open to any non commercial music so have an open mind on what you see on here. Again as we said there maybe even music featured that we don't enjoy or like, but we are putting our own tastes aside in this instance. The only stipulation we have is that its not music that promotes hate, racism, sexism, materialistic mainstream culture, or anything else. 1 love. Peace. So Genres: Punk: HC Punk, Anarcho Punk, Hardcore, Crust, Grind, D-Beat, Sludgecore, Crossover, NYHC. Hip Hop: Spiritual, political, anarcho, DIY. Reggae, Dub, Ragga, Drum n bass (no commercial bands). Spoken word poetry. Random genres: Metal, rock, blues, folk, acoustic, & anything else we have no idea about lol. We are willing to put these random genres on the comp & anything else we haven't thought of if its non commercial & matches the message. However we hold this belief firmly: The only stipulation we have is that its not music that promotes hate, racism, sexism, or materialistic mainstream culture.
