About me:

I'm a Vegetarian David Sylvian admirer living with partner and cat in the South of England who is against animal testing (no surprise there however what does surprise people is what is still tested on animals and by,or for, who... 21st century really?). There is no need for animal testing.  There are better alternatives which should be used.  I mean Man has been to the Moon for goodness sakes and yet we still test on animals?! We (well some of us)seem to think that if a product has been tested on an animal that the product is safe for humans (why I don't know)- this is not so - testing on animals is inhumane and pointless and should be stopped now. If a product has been tested on animals I would like the product label to say "tested on animals".  Perhaps this would make more people realise just how much animal testing still goes on.  Furthermore I would like more products to say whether or not they have animal by products in them (cosmetics, perfume/aftershave, sweets, jellies, icecream, wines, spirits, yoghurts). By the way being vegetarian and against animal testing is not about being self righteous (as some people think) it is about taking what little power I have to make a stand about something I truly believe in. I am not trying to make anyone else feel bad (which is what I sense from people I do), everyone is entitled to their own (my partner still eats meat) all I want is that if you eat meat the animal is treated with respect, it is allowed to roam freely, it eats what it is meant to and it is killed humanely. (Supermarkets take note it would help if your staff were informed about your policies so that if a customer asks they can advise accordingly) I think it's strange that if you say you support human rights people think that's great (which it is) yet if you say you support animal rights alot of people don't know how to react - Please remember that there is always a very small number of people who want to cause trouble in whatever area (football, animal rights, democratic rights these people do not have the cause's best interests at heart only their own). One thing I do not understand is that we use animals in adverts and think that's great however what's not great is that some of those products may have actually been tested on a poor defenceless creature like the one advertising it - how can that be right? How can we brush that aside? How can an animal say to us yes it is alright to test that bleach on me or to inject me with something that could kill me. Human beings can agree to this an animal cannot. That's the difference. We have come so far and are capable of so much more. We are better than this. https://www.MakeAnimalTestingHistory.org
