| General | My main hobby is Scrabble. I play competitively and take it seriously - represented England in the 2007 World Championships in Mumbai, where I came 39th out of 104 entrants. I'm currently ranked in the top 20 players in the UK.
I love music (as evidenced by my 'I'd like to meet' section) and also do a bit of lyric writing and the odd piece of poetry such as haiku/senryu, tanka, sijo and limericks. I am a lifelong fan of Everton FC, following them from peak to trough and back again. | | Music | Cast, Verve, Leona Naess, Beth Orton, Lene Marlin, Oasis, Barenaked Ladies, Beautiful South, Starsailor, Tara Blaise, Alanis Morissette, James, Alisha's Attic, Emiliana Torrini, Donna Lewis, Nerina Pallot, Jewel, Muse, Radiohead, Lovebugs... | | Movies | I'm a bit of a sucker for the films I grew up watching - The Italian Job is one of my all time favourites. Terminator 2 remains a classic. The Shawshank Redemption is a magnificent piece of work. Best films I've seen in the last few years include Million Dollar Baby and Catch Me If You Can. | | Television | Don't watch much of it. Tends to be mostly football and news.
I like some comedy series (used to be keen on Friends, Ally McBeal) but not keen on soaps. Currently watching Brothers and Sisters on C4. | | Books | Avid reader of crime novels, particularly Tess Gerritsen, Kathy Reichs, James Patterson, Alex Kava, Karin Slaughter, Jeffrey Deaver and Nicci French.
