Stevie Ray Vaughan - Texas Flood
SRV... Steve Ray Vaughan's performance of Texas Flood at the El Mocambo, 1983. About 9.5 minutes in length featuring his band "Double Trouble". Around minute 7 he plays part of his solo with the guitar held behind his back and he transistions back to the "normal position" without missing a beat.
Jimi Hendrix - Star Spangled Banner and Purple Haze live
Sometime in the latter part of the 1980s, a radio personality by the name of Lisa Simeone hosted a guest driven radio show on The Johns Hopkins University's WJHU radio station. She had a weekly special called: "Desert Island Discs" in which she would invite prominent members of the Baltimore community and ask them to share with her listeners the ten musical pieces that they would most like to have with them if they were marooned on a deserted island. One guest, Mark Crispin Miller included Jimi Hendrix"s "Star Spangled Banner" as one of his selections. The hostess refused to play that piece because it just didn't seem proper. So, in honor of the selection, and in the spirit of fine outstanding classic music I present to you Jimi Hendrix playing his masterpiece followed by Purple Haze. Enjoy.
P.S. I dedicate this clip to Lisa Simeone... where ever she may be (she who insisted on wearing a flower in her hair for publicity shots but didn't have the intestinal fortitude to play all the music that was fit to play! Jimi Lives On Through His Music...)

My Guitar Gently Weeps on a Ukelele
Amazing Ukelele player (Jake Shimabukuro) performs a solo rendition of George Harrison's 'My Guitar Gently Weeps' on the ukelele.
Louis Armstrong "It's A Wonderful World"
Tounching Perfomance by Louis Armstrong... singing "It's A Wonderful World." he is accompanied by a pianist, a drummer, a trombonist and a clarinetist. Louis holds his trumpet, along with his every-present white handkerchief, in his left hand but never plays a note in this video clip... but then again, Satchmo shines using only his voice, smile and expressive presentation.

new ASIMO running
The future is now. Either on February 5th or May 2nd of 2006 a demonstration occured at the Welcome Plaza Aoyama (in Japan) showing how well the ASIMO humanoid robot functions in standing, shifting its weight from one foot to another and running from one spot to another. Honda corporation is responsible for the research and development behind the development of this robot model.
mr six
Six Flags Amusement Park Commercial featuring the geriatric hip-hopping-wild-man-on-fire: "Mr. Six". Audio isn't the best and the video is pretty pathetic but at least this short little clip represents a memorable "institutional" type ad (no direct response marketing here) ideally suited for deep-pocketed organizations that wish to keep their brand right out in the open... enjoy!

About me: Spent a huge chunk of my life as a full-time student; wrote books, solved problems, fixed things, and am continuously studying the art of persuasion and what makes "people tick"...
The other day, while waiting for my daughter's school bus to arrive, I practiced my "big movie trailer voice" by saying such phrases as:
"In a World"
"On a Planet"
"In a Solar System"
"In a Galaxy"
"In a Universe"...
Meanwhile, my wife, who was busily brushing snow from her car, couldn't take my theatrical vocalizations any longer so she yelled out:
"In A Gadda Da Vida"...
To which my daughter, without missing a beat, responded:
"Baby, don't you know that I love you baby."
Clearly, I've got a lot of competition. But...
My diction is getting better and my fake deep (from way back in the throat) voice is sounding more and more like Don LaFontaine's (the 'voice over' guru) trademark sound.
Who I'd like to meet: People who are successful in the following areas:
finance (money person);
project management ("get things done" person);
taxes (tax preparer, tax strategiest and advisor);
publicity (public relations person);
estate management (butler);
transportation (travel agent);
logistics (getting things from point "A" point "B" on time);
business strategist (person who has "the vision thing")

"Now and again, it is necessary to seclude yourself among deep mountains and hidden valleys to restore your link to the source of life. Breathe in and let yourself soar to the ends of the universe; breathe out and bring the cosmos back inside. Next, breathe up all fecundity and vibrancy of the earth. Finally, blend the breath of heaven and the breath of earth with your own, becoming the Breath of Life itself." --Morihei Ueshiba, The Founder of Aikido

Gerard LeBlond, Thanks for accepting me as your friend.
I've always liked the idea of a having a motorhome or RV.
I just saw this...
Some people just have too much money, how cool would a rig like this be?
I don't think I could even afford to hire a motorhome like this! This colossal German RV has an integrated hideaway drawer for an additional small car. The ‘garage’ is big enough to accommodate smaller, lower cars like a BMW Z4, Mini Cooper Convertible, or the Mercedes-Benz SLK seen here.
I want one!
Thanks again Gerard LeBlond,
Rick
Hey thanks for the add. I wanted to take the time to introduce myself. My name is Kyle. I am 23 years old and live in Ottawa with my beautiful girlfriend of 4 years. I am a network marketer, but I will admit a struggling one. I had no problem recruiting people, but could never get them to duplicate. As a result my downline would disappear and I’d be back at square one. So I am trying a new approach, new company, and a new start. We are only talking about the amazing health product, as apposed to trying to sell you a dream or a company. Just our product the way word of mouth referral should be. (It’s like when you see a good movie you tell friends about it because you liked it. You’re not telling friends to go see the movie because afterwards there is an amazing opportunity.) Back to the basics I guess you might say.
I also love to snowboard. It’s my favorite thing in the world to do. I would also like to start trying other extreme sports. I love comedy, the beach, the summer life and things that are real. (Bio’s, documentaries) I hate fake people. I am really into health, and all natural products.
If you would like to get to know me, or network with me then give me a shout. If not I apologies for bothering you.

Thanks,
Thanx for having me add you to my friends list! We are in the middle of a big Pre-Launch if you would like to JV with us let me know. Here is the link to our site:
