Working in the adult industry

Yes, I do, I work in many different areas of the industry, and while I still work in the mainstream industry, the majority of my work is in adult, and I love working in adult. It's not as sleezy as people has made comment about it to be. In fact, I've found more sleezier people in mainstream, LOL

I work as an actor, producer, host, reporter, and most a publicist. I've found my area to and field to work in, and I'm happy, for the most part, it's a lot of work, stress, pressure, and dedication, but any field you do takes that.

Now, to clear some misconceptions people have about the industry.
Performers are tested, monthly, performers always have the option to say no, if they think a scene is not right, they is no such thing as "fluffers", drugs are not allowed on set, staying healthy is not only an option, but a requirement if you want to stay working, many performers and people in the industry have outside hobbies and interests that have nothing to do with porn, many performers and people in the industry come from good home, and have a solid family that they come home to, YES, you do make good money, yes some of us are religious as well and have morals, what we do is just a job, that's it, just a job, it's that this job is about sex, something everyone does, if there wasn't sex you and I wouldn't be here right? right.

I don't like people to look down their nose at people in the adult industry, the industry now is changing, and it's more accepted than it was in the past.

Just like mainstream actors and directors and producers, we are fullfilling people fantasies. When you watch an action film, or a comedy or a drama, you are taken away for awhile, forgetting about the bills, the high price of gas, politics, and global environmental problems, right? right. The same with watching what we do, you are escaping away from your nine to five world into ours for a short time, and we're happy to do that.

Alot of the films I work on, are funny and entertaining, and they are also very sexy.

The clients I represent for publicity are all stars, they are very talented, and very professional, and that's what I am a professional. I like where I am right now, and I am putting 100% of my energy in that.

How to get into the industry? Well, that's a long answer, first, really think about it, it's not something you rush into. Talk to family and friends first, people will see you. Then if you really want to do this, it's important to get tested, get an agent, and do your homework, familarize yourself with the terms and the industry, have a good business head, because just like the mainstream industry, this is a business first, and to succeed you have to be mature and knowledgeable.
Many of my friends and collegues have books and blogs, and DVD's on how to get into the industry, for example like Jack Lawerence, or Nina Hartley. We also have advice from stars on our program; "Inside The Adult Industry as well.

Remember what ever it is that you are doing in life for a career, always put 100% into it, and you'll will reap that benefits.
