About me:
..
In 1984 I was born into a very musical family of 4 cultures: Samoan, Indian, Maori, and European.
Being submerged and influenced with such an ethnic background, taught me a diverse range of rhythms and feel for different styles of music and sounds. I’ve enjoyed travelling to Samoa and India and listening to their traditional and contemporary music.
At age 7, I received my first drum machine and found I had a huge passion for music and anything to do with creativity in sound. I got experience from age 15 sequencing music for bands, musicals and dance performance groups throughout New Zealand and Australia and continue to do this today. I later gained experience producing music for advertising, radio, TV and film.
I’m known in the music industry to be able to produce a very wide range of music styles. My ears are unique as I can pick apart any production without a score, and re-program every part. The original music I create is of the highest quality, always keeping up with the times and even beyond today’s commercial sound with a futuristic and old school 10Aciouss twist. I know the 50’s to today’s feel of music and I’ve found, in order to create a new sound, you have to understand and respect all styles of music from the past. Through my high school years I drummed for 9 different bands including culture groups, also deejayed for hip-hop groups, countless high school formals and club gigs through New Zealand. I attended Aranui high schools Music Academy in Christchurch and our band won 1st place New Zealand (Capital Teen Convention) competition in Wellington and the following year I came 2nd as a solo artist.
Currently I’m working on Scribes 3rd and 4th albums, Vince Harder’s 1st solo album and J.Williams 1st R&B solo album (other artists to be confirmed). I will continue to stay open and pursue my music career by challenging myself with new opportunities. Ultimately for me, music is healing and a great way of communicating to people positively
