In 1997, 10-FEET was formed with its current band members, whom all moved into a small apartment together and lived in incredible poverty. Four years later, the band released their first single, “April Fool,” to be followed by their first full-length album, “Springman,” and third single, “River,” which became 30 on the Oricon Chart (Japan’s equivalent of the Billboard Charts). 10-FEET then signed with Universal Music Japan, after which they performed with Sum 41, and released their fourth single, “nil?,” which reached 14 on the Oricon. “Realife,” their fourth full-length album reached 4 on the Oricon Chart, which prompted 10-Feet to tag along on both the Van’s Warped Tour in Japan, and the Summer Sonic —Japan’s largest rock festival. In 2008, 10-Feet recorded a song for the multi-artist cover-song project for the world famous metal band, appropriately titled, “Metal-Ikka,” which translates to “Metal Family” in English. Just recently, 10-FEET released their fifth album, “Vandalize,” and toured with fellow U.S. band, Insolence. 10-FEET also collaborated with Insolence on a special project called “Beats Not Bombs”—a charity record that promotes music in lieu of war. 10-Feet had toured in the U.S. with Insolence, Pour Habit, The Expendables, Rebelution and OPM in November, 2008.
