LOS ANGELES, December 6, 2006 – While i-Tunes set the standard by offering tracks for just $.99 each, the 10 Spot label has been launched with the digital download customer in mind. Believing in the mantra “10 Tracks, 10 Bucks, Every Time” 10 Spot stands firm with their new price point.

Canadian born singer / songwriter Justin James’ new album “Sun Drenched” has already received considerable media attention including placements on TV shows like "Laguna Beach." A regular entertainer on the Southern California club circuit, his six-piece band Justin James & The Sons of Beaches has a reputation for spirited shows. A tentative street date has been set for Justin’s album in April 2007.
10 Spot’s multi-platinum artist Tiffany, catapults her career from a 80s Dance/Pop icon to a truly inspired singer/songwriter with her new release on 10 Spot in May 2007. Having recently signed on for Season 5 of VH1’s hit reality show Celebrity Fit Club, Tiffany’s release will coincide with the airing of the show.

Singer/Songwriter Shannon Moore has been compared to The Pretenders’ Chrissie Hynde, Aimee Mann, KT Tunstall and Sheryl Crow to name a few, but ultimately has a style all her own. Shannon defiantly knows how to deliver a song and captivate an audience. Born and raised in Houston, Shannon received her first guitar at the age of 10 and completed her first song When It Rains by the age of twelve.
Shannon’s first band, Deep Julia, toured the States and Canada extensively and racked up considerable critical acclaim. Their popularity landed them the opening act for Radiohead, Peter Frampton and Jewel to name a few. They also headlined in the majority of the top Vancouver clubs and venues. A full album never materialized and Shannon and the band soon went their separate ways.
As a solo artist, Shannon has an impressive list of movie and television credits. Her songs can be heard in movies including Angels With Angles (InVision Motion Picture Group), Lifetime’s Original Movie Confessions of an American Bride, This Time Around (Disney), Midnight Blue (Orion), Showtime’s One Kill and many more. Her television credits include: Felicity (WB), Meet My Folks (NBC) and MTV’s Real World. She also had 8 of her songs included in Canada’s exceptionally popular television drama Madison.

Canadian born Singer/Songwriter Justin James began his career at 7 years old playing cello and a year later he was singing in Canada’s most prestigious traveling choir, the British Columbia Boys Choir. Justin traveled extensively throughout North America and Europe during his formative years.
At 18, Justin James (tired of the cold Canadian winters) found everything he had ever wanted: sunshine, waves, good friends and great times in the Caribbean. He earned just enough money to get by and enjoyed every minute of it. One day, while surfing off the coast of Venezuela, Justin had a run in with a tiger shark. The attack left his foot mangled and detached, a near fatal encounter. Having to endure over a three-hour ride in the back of a truck to the nearest town, Justin lost consciousness and more than half his body’s blood volume. The delicate surgery to reattach his foot took multiple doctors, multiple blood transfusions and over 250 stitches in less than perfect conditions.
During his lengthy recovery and intense physical therapy his grandmother gave him a guitar to pass the time, while bedridden for just under a year. Soon Justin realized he had an uncanny knack for the guitar and song writing that he would never have discovered if it weren’t for his accident. A transformation took place during his recovery: an extremely talented Singer/Songwriter emerged. It was all a blessing in disguise.
Since then Justin has been writing and performing music with his six-piece band The Sons of Beaches who have a reputation for spirited shows. They have opened for Switchfoot, Shawn Colvin, Dirty Vegas, Edwin McKane and Alannah Myles to name a few. The Sons of Beaches consists of Ben Greet (guitar) Murf (harmonica), Jeremy Miller (keyboards), Eric Strickler (drums), Peter August (saxophone) and Brendan McKluskey (bass.)

Pop icon, Tiffany, has again been stirring things up. The “I Think We’re Alone Now” Girl has been very busy in her new “role” in VH1’s Celebrity Fit Club, which began airing April 22. Marking the 20th anniversary of her chart-topping debut, she is currently writing and recording for her new album released June 5th with her new label 10 Spot. This new album, Just Me, delivers a blend of pop and haunting ballads.
Tiffany began her career at the age of 13 when she signed her first recording contract with MCA. The self-titled debut album was released in 1987 and eventually went quadruple platinum. The innovative “Mall Tour” that followed proved to be the signature for Tiffany’s early career and was very effective in targeting her core audience of young teens making Tiffany the youngest female artist to debut at number one on the Billboard charts. Tiffany produced three top ten hits, two of which were national and international 1 pop singles Could’ve Been and the celebrated I Think We’re Alone Now. The soon-to-be teen pop phenomenon, New Kids on the Block, got their big break as the opening act for her world tour. Tiffany released her second album, Hold An Old Friend’s Hand, which went double platinum and featured the top ten hit All This Time. In addition to her ground breaking successful music career, Tiffany had the opportunity to be the voice of Judy Jetson in the feature version of the popular cartoon series, The Jetsons.
During the ‘90s, Tiffany released two more albums, New Inside and Dreams Never Die (released exclusively in Asia). To start off the new Millennium, she introduced what became known as her “comeback” album, The Color of Silence with stellar critical reviews including from Billboard: “The Color of Silence is one of the finest pop albums of 2000.” In 2005 she independently released the club sensation, Dust Off and Dance.
Tiffany makes her home in Los Angeles with her husband of three years, her son Elijah, three dogs, two turtles and five fish. She also enjoys cooking and preparing fine cuisine for her friends and family. When she’s not busy with her rigorous workout routine, she’s a self-admitted designer shopaholic.
Jeremy Kay’s new album, Talking to Me, was recorded at Los Angeles’ Backroom Studios with award winning writer/producer Tim Feehan. The album utilizes the talents of some of the world's best studio musicians drawn from the bands of Michelle Branch, Steve Vai and Edgar Winter. Along with the help from his friends, Jeremy stretches into new musical territory, sounding confident and comfortable throughout.
When asked about his roots, Jeremy claims to have a deep love of Rock, Pop, Folk and Soul music. You can hear it in his recordings as he draws off these influences to create songs that sound familiar without being derivative, a sound that is uniquely his own. On tracks such as I’m Alive and All I Wanted, Jeremy shows his thoughtful and melancholy side, and on cuts such as How Long... and Roommate’s Girlfriend you get a glimpse of his playful sense of humor. His songs have been used in top-rated television shows from ABC’s Boston Legal, CBS’s Numbers, NBC’s Scrubs, to MTV’s Real World, Undressed and many more. If you have seen The Wedding Planner, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Once and Again or Smallville, you’ve heard Jeremy’s creative genius echoing somewhere in a scene.
Recently you may have heard his voice singing the theme song of the WB's The Bedford Diaries. The show was shortlived, but Jeremy’s song Weight in Gold sounded magnificent in the opening credits every week. Talking to Me will be released August 28, 2007 on 10 Spot.
Having obtained a professional music degree from the world’s largest independent music college Berklee College of Music (Boston) and perfecting a classically trained voice, Rachel Leigh McGoye spent the years that followed infiltrating the Los Angeles music scene.
Rachel McGoye is a free-spirited, small town beach girl born and raised in Stuart, Florida. She spent her youth at The Center for the Arts studying ballet, tap, jazz, modern and hip-hop dance while performing across the state in the well-known dance company, Contempra. Upon entering Martin County High School she auditioned and was accepted into the competitive traveling show choir OPUS. She spent the next 4 years singing across the U.S. in various competitions in Los Angeles, Washington D.C., San Antonio and New York.
Rachel has always been involved in some form of music from very young age. At the age of eight, her mother bought her piano and she began taking lessons. Entering her high school years she was completely dedicated to music, she planned for her career in music while continuing to sing, play keyboards and acoustic guitar.
It wasn’t until her enrollment in Berklee that Rachel began writing and composing her own songs. “Although the first few songs I wrote were far from being hits, I was slowly realizing that I might have a niche for writing catchy memorable melodies, even if they were a bit cheesy!” Rachel has an uncontainable wit and sarcasm that she perfectly balances with her complex, sultry, emotional side.
Rachel’s musical comparisons have ranged from Dido to Paula Cole, Fiona Apple to Alicia Keys with a little bit of Sade mixed in. Ultimately, Rachel has developed a unique sound and presence of her own. As a singer/songwriter and performer, Rachel's influences are an eclectic mix stemming from her exposure as a child to Roots and Rock music to her own love of Folk and R&B. "Growing up I couldn't decided for years whether my musical career was going be in the likes of Janet Jackson or Carole King!"

The Picture Show started in Northern California where three eleven-year-old friends Dan Stewart, Aaron Jespersen, and Ryan Ito began producing no-budget camcorder movies. The band insists that this history of movie making has relevance to the rock and roll music they now create. “For one thing, we got our creative differences and ego issues in check when we were eleven,” says Stewart. “We were obsessed with making movies by any means necessary,” Stewart adds, “and we often used fictitious names in the credits.” “The end result was what mattered the most. Not individual credit,” says Jespersen. “We were very ambitious about it, too. We naively believed that we could shoot a movie in my backyard that would be as awesome as The Terminator. We were big thinkers.” Stewart adds, “It could be said that we brought a similar naiveté to the table years later when we set out to start a band.”
When Stewart, Jespersen, and Ito turned eighteen, they were interested in trying something new. “Dan’s brother was a guitar player,” says Ito, “he had a Strat and a Marshall half stack. One night, we took turns on his guitar, banging out nonsense chords for a while. Then, in some sort of burst of inspiration, we looked at each other and said, ‘Let’s start a band.” None of the three had any real experience with songwriting, instrumentation, or stage performance. “We had little more than a passion for music and the bands that created it,” says Jespersen, “choosing our roles for the band was pretty much arbitrary.” “Dan and Ryan wanted to try guitar and so I said I’d be the singer. We were basically three random guys starting a band from absolutely nothing. By all rights we should have ended up the worst band of all time.”
As soon as Stewart and Ito figured out how to string a few notes together they started writing music. The trio had developed a strong work ethic during their movie making days and they brought it with them into their music. The first thing they did as a band was to write and record three full-length albums. “Music was this new medium for us that we were very excited about,” says Ito. “We had this archaic recording device that we used to record our albums. We did three LPs in about three months. Most of the recordings were fairly atrocious but there were a few gems in there and we were definitely sensing potential. We started to feel like we were really onto something.” Of the thirty-eight songs on these tapes, one of them was notably titled The Picture Show.
A few years, many songs, and countless performances later, the band had developed into a powerful act. Having relocated to Jacksonville, Florida, they recorded and performed under different band names and with different drummers for several years. They chose the band name The Picture Show and enlisted Minnesota native Brad Daninger as their permanent drummer in 2005. “I really connected with their sound,” says Daninger, “and I wanted to show them I had something to add to it.” Needless to say he made a huge impression. “When Brad joined the band we truly felt like we had finally become the band we had always wanted to be,” says Stewart, “Our sound was complete and we felt prepared to take things to the next level.”
Shatters Into Discontent contains twelve tracks ranging from epic to rocking to ballad and back again.
In 2007 The Picture Show signed with 10spot Records and will release the album with distribution by Universal Music Group on February 19, 2008. “Playing in a band, you’re constantly striving to reach new levels and new plateaus. Signing with 10spot has definitely brought us to a new level and we’re very excited about the opportunities that lay before us,” says Stewart. “Creatively, we’re very inspired and focused right now,” adds Jespersen, “We’re working on lots of new material for our second album. We’re completely motivated to keep raising the bar for ourselves.”
