Amalgamators were formed from the ashes of Tenth Horse. Tenth Horse was formed from the ashes of the Amalgamators.
After Hugh left we fiddled around for a month or so and came to realize that the sound that once was could no longer be. We began to inject new songs with a bit more adrenalin. Light shuffles on the snare from Nick soon became driving beats, Marks soft shoe bass lines no longer for the faint of heart, and the once polite acoustic styling of Patrick has for now been set aside making way for a unique brand of rock and roll somewhere between Eddie Hazel and Black Sabbath. . .without the cool solos.
Then we found a magnificent fiddler and vocalist by the name of Terry McGinn. She brought her friend Dobro Joe into the mix, now we are the Amalgamators again. Or AmalgaHorse, TenthMators, etc.
we hope to see you at a show sometime.
