Hailing from the Naugatuck Valley in southern CT, Hammerfist has been grinding it out since right around the new millennium. The two Mikes started jamming together and writing tunes, then along came the Madman, Rob Ercoli on bass guitar. The circle of power was complete! The trio polished their sound and hit the local scene, most notably the Webster Theatre in Hartford, CT where they’ve played with the some great regional bands as well national acts like King’s X and Black Label Society. During that time, Hammerfist teamed up with Myles Mangino of Planet of Sound Recording Studios in Hartford, CT to record their first full album. The band looks forward to working on their follow-up with Planet of Sound soon. With their new CD Backline now released, the band is re-focused on writing the material for another album. This is THRASHING MAD/KrissTheMadPoet or whatever name I go by these days. I’m good friends of the band. Well, I sure hope so...This isn’t an "official" HAMMERFIST myspace page, at least not yet.
