The artwork of
Valerie Williams
April 12 - 22, 2007
Valerie is known for her vibrant 35mm macro floral photography, fabric painting and for her more recent scanning electron microscope (SEM) photographs of flowers, seeds and Bermuda beach sand. Early in her career, Valerie was fascinated with the art of science. Experimenting with different photography styles, printing and fabric techniques, dye combinations and formulations has led to her unique views and artistic expression.

Thursday Evening, Opening Reception: March 22, 6:30 – 9 PM

Exhibit: March 22 – April 8, 2007
The 1110 Gallery is pleased to introduce the paintings of two of Brooklyn’s eminent emerging young artists, Donovan Nelson and Kennis Baptiste. The theme “The Real and the Imaginary” brings together two totally different styles of expression.
Donovan Nelson brings to life his realistic interruption of life, energy and movement using the traditional portrait techniques.
Kennis Baptiste brings to life his interruption of life and movement using his own style of abstract and Noe expressionism.
