---- Your amigos, Nashville Bound
Influences
We honor the singers and storytellers who helped bring sanity during our difficult times and who gave their heart, soul and ultimately lives to music including Elvis Presley, Buddy Holly, John Lennon, Harry Chapin, Bob Marley, Hank Williams, Jim Croce and many other legends. May their memory never fade away.
Sounds Like
We love music, all kinds of music, and have had songs ranked in French jive, swing, country, rockabilly, pop, r&b, blues, southern rock, christian, gospel and folk rock. Our songs are the story of life, loves, being lost and finding your way back again.
Our diversity is also seen by the broad scope of musicians we call friends in addition to the many country stars mentioned elsewhere. We owe a lot to our friends Paul McCartney, Bob Dylan, Shakira, Green Day, Jason Mraz, Madonna, Sarah McLachlan, Dave Matthews, Avril Lavigne, Joss Stone, Eric Clapton, Christina Milian, Alicia Keys, Elvis Costello, Jimmy Buffett, Amy Grant, Foo Fighters, Mary J. Blige, Sarah Brightman, Pussycat Dolls, Neil Young, Van Morrison, ZZ Top, Mariah Carey, Bob Seger, Beyonce, Lionel Richie, Bruce Springsteen, Anuna, Smokey Robinson, James Taylor, Aaliyah, Clannad, Gerry Rafferty, Shawn Colvin, Sting, Cat Stevens, BB King, Paul Simon, Janet Jackson, Jessye Norman, Kenny Loggins, Chuck Berry, Carole King, Little River Band, Kitaro, Yanni, Mannheim Steamroller, Richard Clayderman, Lou Reed, The Chieftains, Vanessa Paradis, Sinead O'Connor, Quincy Jones, Marchall Tucker Band, Miles Davis, Diana Ross, Belinda Carlisle, Marianne Faithful, Dusty Springfield, Laura Nyro, Lulu and the many others.
PLAYING FOR THE LOVE OF THE MUSIC--------Webster’s Dictionary defines a “band” as “a group of people joined together for a common purpose”. Nashville Bound is just such a band, founded by Jim Putnam to record country versions of some of the songs he has written. When Putnam writes songs they are genre neutral, meaning they can be arranged in a variety of styles and genres. His words and music are stories that are flexible and the truth in his words seems to work no matter what the style.
Once the instrumentation is determined the musicians needed for that track are assembled and asked to help create the final version of the song, actively participating in the creative development of the final cut. This creative input is something they are seldom given the chance to contribute. All recording, mixing and mastering is done in Nashville.
Seasoned, road tested musicians with exceptional talent perform, most are masters of multiple instruments, and all experienced in both studio and major live venues having worked with a literal whose who of major country artists. The result is magic in the studio and electric in live performance. That is Nashville Bound.
Music has no borders and great music has no limitations and that is the way Nashville Bound approaches the studio where 26 songs have already been recorded, mixed and mastered In Nashville for release. The next set of recordings will include an expanded international blend of classical musicians and singers. It is the kind of challenge Putnam thrives upon.
Stay tuned to Nashville Bound where the decades of experience, story collecting, musical experimenting, directing, producing and performing come together in the songs of Jim Putnam and the music of Nashville Bound.
Today I like to inform you, that you can read and watch interviews with your favorit country stars in Enlgish, German and French at http://www.CountryHome.de/Interviews .

Christian
