ROCK LEGENDS ARE: GLEN BUXTON! MICHAEL BRUCE! NEAL SMITH! RICHIE SCARLET!
ROCK LEGENDS FROM THE ORIGINAL ALICE COOPER BAND. On October 12, 1997, Glen Buxton, Michael Bruce and Neal Smith of the original Alice Cooper band reunited to play the show at Area 51. Along with their special guest Richie Scarlet it was supposed to be the first of new good times. But Glen's death just one week later ended that dream. Since no one knew this would be Glen's last show there wasn't much effort made to record it. But we were able to pull together what was available and so although these recordings are raw (and the guitar dropped out on Under My Wheels), we all had a great time and fans of the original band will recognize the distinct sound of the original Alice Cooper band with Glen Buxton playing these great songs one more time after all those years. If you want to play videos below, pause the music player, click the videos, and let the show begin again.

The original Alice Cooper was a five man band. They were Alice Cooper (vocals), Michael Bruce (guitar), Glen Buxton (lead guitar), Neal Smith (drums), and Dennis Dunaway (bass). The original Alice Cooper band released the first seven Alice Cooper albums beginning with "Pretties For You" in 1968 and ending with "Muscle of Love" in 1974 after which Alice Cooper morphed into a single individual of the same name and as the rest of the band seemingly disappeared from the face of the Earth for the next twenty something years. Torn Ticket Productions was formed in 1997 to revive and manage Michael's career with one of our major goals being the reuniting the original band. Torn Ticket managed Michael from March 1997 through October 1999 and highlights of Michael's association with Torn Ticket include Michael's acoustic shows and radio interviews, the formation of the original Michael Bruce Group, the re-uniting of Michael with Glen Buxton and Neal Smith as "Rock Legends from the original Alice Cooper band", the Bikes n Babes photo shoot w/ Michael, Glen, Neal, and Richie Scarlet, the Rock Legends shows at Billy Blues and Area 51 (October 1997), getting Alice and Michael talking again beginning with Alice's fundraiser in Phoenix (May 1998), re-uniting Alice, Michael and Neal at the Cooper'stown opening (December 1998), working with VH1 on "Behind The Music: Alice Cooper" (January 1999) and more. The heartbreak was Glen's death on October 19, 1997, just a week after the show at Area 51. Glen wrote in his last letter that he had a "fuckin good time" and his death ended any hope of a full reunion of the original Alice Cooper band. However, on December 19, 1998, Alice Cooper, Michael Bruce and Neal Smith played together for the first time in over 23 years at the opening of Cooper'stown in Phoenix. The next years, on October 23, 1999 the four surviving members of Alice Cooper, minus Glen, reunited onstage at the 2nd Glen Buxton Memorial Weekend, an event that only a couple of years before had been considered a virtual impossiblity.
This site archives the period from 1997 through 1999 when the members of Alice Cooper worked with Torn Ticket Productions. Rock and roll history shifted as the ice cracked from decades of silence to the original members releasing their own solo music, tours, and occasional remaining band member reunions. The videos below are provided for the enjoyment of fans who appreciate that Alice Cooper was a band and that these are the guys that made the music. This myspace site is dedicated to the memory of Glen Buxton. For even more detailed information on the events of 1997-1999 visit
