About me:
Can you tell from the headline that I write historical fiction? After too many Cambridge winters shivering in the stacks of Harvard's library, I decided to enliven my studies with... well, you might call it a creative reconstruction of the past. It seemed infinitely more amusing to write about dashing Napoleonic spies in the style of the Scarlet Pimpernel than to actually work on my dissertation. I still don't have that PhD, but my first two books, "The Secret History of the Pink Carnation" and "The Masque of the Black Tulip" are both out in print, with a third, "The Deception of the Emerald Ring", to follow in November.
