Bloco Fogo has been going since 2002, based in Tunbridge Wells & Maidstone , we've been playing Brazilian, Cuban and African influenced rhythms at a wide variety of gigs across the UK. .. .. As the band has grown, musically and physically (now a massive 80 piece bloco), it has been an exciting time with gigs cramming up our diaries. We have been branching out all over the south east and as far afield as Truro, Swansea, the Edinburgh Frindge Fest and overseas to the Coburg International Samba Festival, Germany. .. Last year also proved to be very exciting as we established ourselves in THE CORPORATE MARKET PERFORMING FOR TAMA AIRLINES & BILLINGSGATE BANKERS BALL with a new 12 piece hand-picked Bloco Fogo team from the Main Bloco taking performance to the next level . See Bloco Fogo billingsgate on youtube. We sometimes perform with energetic Bloco Fogo Dancers who create a splash of colour & movement to complement our rhythms ... .. Now in 2010 we are all very excited to enter another year of fun and experience, be it playing parades, clubs, festivals and we are applying to go back to play Coburg International Festival for the forth year running with a massive 40 piece bloco... .. Being a community band, we always welcome new faces. You don't need any experience at all! We provide all the instruments and accessories you'll need and your first session is free. .. ..
