My name is Jaida. To say my life has been an interesting tale would be a definite understatement. I may not have lived a lot of years but I have indeed lived a lot of life. I've been writing songs since I was about 12 & these days pen my tunes with the most amazing writers within the industry. Songs I've written have been recorded by other artists. I grew up living life on the road, so I guess you could say I have gypsy boots. People have always said that I'm an old soul. I was born in Canada but raised in the south. I've lived in seven different states throughout the country (Iowa, Florida, Georgia... twice, California, Wisconsin, Texas & now Tennessee). I moved to Nashville from a 200 acre ranch in southern Georgia. This is actually the first time I've ever lived in the city. In my early years, I used to figure skate competitively and eventually hung up my skates to focus solely on showing horses professionally. I won my first of many World Championship titles at the age of five. Somewhere along the way I also had fun working on set, appearing in various large scale film productions (ranging from music videos, to major motion pictures & a television series for ABC). I'm wild at heart but try to keep things pretty simple. I like playing around with my guitar & have most recently taken up mandolin. I constantly have a million different thoughts running through my head. I'm obsessed with lyrics & think it's pretty apparent that through it all I've always had quite the affinity for real country music. I honestly have the best job in the world & feel so blessed to be able to do what I love. Now wasn't that so much more intriguing than reading all of that official stuff? To everyone who takes the time to leave me such sweet messages, comments & come out to the shows, THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart. I wouldn't be me without you. -
