So, let's see... where to begin... I guess I should describe myself? How about I just let the beginning of a certain poem do it for me:

There, that actually describes me much more accurately than I ever could in my own words. Please keep in mind that I do not necessarily agree with the rest of the poem those lines come from and I do not follow any particular religion.
What else? How about love? What am I looking for in a lover and a relationship? What are my views on love and relationships? What can I bring to a relationship? Those are very good questions actually! Here is my answer:

I am a very motivated and driven individual, to accomplish those goals which are important to me. However, it's entirely possible you won't approve of those goals or the way in which I pursue them and that is perfectly fine, everyone has a right to their own opinions. Just don't expect me to change or completely forget my goals for you. I always do my best to respect and support other people's life choices and pursuits and only expect the same in return.
I am a fantasy writer and my writing is extremely important to me and my story projects will always take up a good part of my free time. If this is not something you can respect or support, then we will probably not get along very well.
Though, it may not sound like it, I am actually a very caring and compassionate individual. If you need someone to talk to or be there for you, I will be. I strive to be the best friend, the best lover and the best human being I possibly can be in all that I do. I wrote it years ago but it's still mostly accurate, if not a bit long, sappy and depressing. If you don't mind long, sappy and depressing descriptions of one's personality and innermost feelings, then by all means, keep reading. Intelligent, understanding, caring people only please and common interests are always a big plus and sometimes a necessity as I stated before. I've definitely met enough fake people and shallow jerks to last a lifetime. I'm not a partier nor do I wish to be, I don't like clubs, bars or beaches really and usually don't get along with people who are obsessed with those places.
I'm not seriously outgoing and would probably rather stay in than go out. Though that doesn't mean I never want to go anywhere either. I like shopping and traveling, going to movies etc. So I like going out sometimes. I am NOT interested in the majority of mainstream sports. Fencing and Martial arts are the only two sports that really interest me.
I'm a true believer in being yourself, being loyal and honorable, even when no one else is, standing up for what you believe in while not completely abandoning common sense or reason, doing what you can to help others and always making my own decisions in life. Not becoming some blind, mindless follower of society and the various popular cultures out there. Like many have. So, having said all that, I think you should be able to draw your own conclusions about who I'd like to meet.
For those of you still reading... I'd like to add some of my views and beliefs on love and what I am searching for...
So much in life is completely meaningless... insignificant... and makes no difference in the grand scheme.... but love has meaning... or at least I think it does... I believe true love can transcend our lives... and is one of the most meaningful and sacred things anyone can ever hope to achieve and experience in their lifetime.
Its very sad though, how most people see love in present day. Its not much more than a joke to many...and something some only wish to destroy since they believe they can never have it themselves. While others deny it and run from it...seeking out every meaningless relationship and sexual encounter they can, simply to deny the existence of real love...usually because it scares them, for one reason or another and still...others simply close themselves off to it completely, simply because they refuse to take that kind of risk for anyone. In the end, I can only feel sorry for these people...knowing that they will never experience what we all should be able to experience in our lives and what we all have the ability to find, if we only believed... The greatest that life has to offer us... Starts with love, heart and compassion...and ends with it.
I had it once or thought I did... and I lost it. Now I look for it once again. Of all the countless times I've been used, abused and generally screwed over by people... you would think I would have given up on love long ago, like many have and truthfully, my beliefs have been shaken many times... but its just not that easy for me.
I don't think I can ever truly give up on it. No matter what I go through, trying to find it. I guess I'll probably never find what I seek but its really all I ever wanted... so, I shall keep looking for what cannot be found. Forever...
