About me:

Born in Tampa Florida, Coco Mitchell joined Wilhelmina Models after receiving her BS in Education and having taught one year of Elementary school. She went on to work for magazines such as Mademoiselle and Glamour Magazine. Her big break occured when she appeared in the first Revlon advertisement with renowned Supermodel Iman for a campaign with"Polished Ambers". Coco later moved to Los Angeles where she joined the Nina Blanchard Agency. This is where she had the opportunity of working with famed photographer Herb Ritts for Maybelline Cosmetics. Eventually, the European market began calling Coco, so while using Milan as her base, she worked with well known designers such as Armani, Versace, Gianfranco Ferre, Gucci, Ferragamo, Christian Dior, YSL, Givenchy, Thierry Mugler and Issey Miyake. After her successful stint in Europe, Coco felt it was time to head back to NYC. She joined the Ford modeling agency where she booked a job to appear in Sports Illustrated. Coco was actually one of the first African American Models to be featured! In NYC, Coco appeared in many television commercials including Wendy's, MacDonald's,Clariti and Fleet Bank. Coco has worked in New York for Bill Blass, Donna Karan, Calvin Klein, Bagely Mischka and Chado Ralph Rucci. After 15 years of observing the meticulous work of the American Couturier Ralph Rucci and his penchant for perfection caused Coco to develop an incredible talent to anticipate and offer fashion tendencies which has kindled in her a desire to pursue all arenas of fashion. After serving as as Mr. Rucci's fit model for 15 years and her extensive experiences abroad...Coco was asked to join the staff at Chado Ralph Rucci promoting the brand, talking to fashion editors and serving as casting director....a need to give back and offer her services to models who have the look but not the where with all to achieve their goals and after all, she speaks their language. Coco's creativity and professionalism can only be measured by the number of years she has worked in the business and is known and admired by many. She travels to Paris twice a year for the Haute Couture and is very well respected in the fashion community as one of the most professional and knowledgeable individuals in the field. .. .. ..
