Life is more exciting today than I ever thought it would be.

I got pretty lost in Grateful Dead Land for a while, but I've added to my list of favorites recently. I've come out of the country closet and blast it without shame anymore, much to my son's dismay. While the artistic melancholy me begs for original, true-to-roots songwriting, I'm not above a little Gretchen Wilson.

I am an information junkie. I can't sit for any length of time without something to read. While I will read just about anything if nothing good is around, here are some of my favorites: anything by Willa Cather, The Poisonwood Bible, anything by Tom Robbins, anything by Amy Tan ...

About me:

Sometimes the cows are over here, sometimes they're over there. I think my 76-year-old neighbor cuts down the weeds and grass in my yard when I'm not here. Sometimes there is cattle in my yard. Once, I went out to smoke a cigarette, rounded the corner of the house and came face to face with a white steer. This was a very large animal, but he remained somewhat ambivalent towards me. I didn't know steers were so tall. I would like to get a goat, but I just haven't gotten around to it yet. I've been a graphic artist for 13 years and am currently running my own design company. I live outside of Red Bluff, California with 2 kids and 2 cats half of each week. The other half of the week I live with two autistic gentlemen. They do not need me to fix them, and I love them for that. They have never lied to me. We take drives outside of town and blare country music. It's the best therapy I've found so far. ..
