Unquestionably the most visual stage presence of any band in Dundee right now, Not only that but when they erupted into the first number, you'd swear that the relatively small square footage of stage was barely containing a band who just wanted to explode into life."

Dirty Wee Middens journeyed from Dundee for the gig. They took to the stage last, with full musical force.

It was almost midnight, and the people in The Gaff had long forgotten the outside world of metropolitan-London. They had become one with each other in the spirit of hard-rock and the walking dead, celebrating music and gore.

And so the Dirty Wee Middens’ performance came at the evening’s most crucial point, when the buzz in the atmosphere was high. Crowds flocked to the stage, and ‘zombies’ threw themselves about the place to the sounds of the Middens’ hardcore, power-rhythms, furious guitar-work, burning vocals, and relentlessly hard-hitting drumming.

The Dirty Wee Middens have clearly chosen their own effective direction in rock-sound, and they deliver it with confidence. They were certainly the highlight of the evening, and a pleasant surprise for anyone doubting the old spirit of rock’s mighty presence on the small stage.

We are a horror punk / rock 'n' roll band that hail from Dundee in the north east of bonnie Scotland.

We pride ourselves on professionalism and stage presence, always striving to go one better than the last show and get a crowd reaction.

Dirty Wee Middens, a Fetid Hybrid between all that is dark, punk and humorous in today's society. A chaotic explosion of noise and insanity, these five friends are out with one agenda on there mind....to make your night as enjoyable as theirs with their cheeky, fast and catchy punk rock.

Last year the original line-up split due to personal issues between the members, however the bands founding members (with the kind consent of the original guitarists) reformed the act this year, revamping the act with new songs and a new line-up which can only be described as a step in the right direction.
