About me: I love Youth Aflame because of the amazing fellowship and the great messages. It's always refreshing to go to a place full of people sho share the same basic ideals as you. Youth Group is an awesome way to meet new people and gain new friendships. I was recently told by someone who came with me to the church that they wanted to come back more and more because the people were so nice and accepting. That isn't common in today's world. The atmosphere is so relaxed and fun. But anyway, enough about why I like Youth Aflame. The main thing that I take away from the different messages shared can all be traced back to one thing (most of the time) WORSHIP. Worship is such a key part of life and an essential in the Youth Group. IT isn't just dancing and singing at church, it is a way of life. Trying to live your entire life for God is no simple task, it takes discipline and focus and obedience. It takes worship. Lastly there is this bit of hope: Turn to God when everything in the world turns on you, because He will never fail you.
ok so for all who read this: when i went with HCHS to NY for the NYSUM ministry there was a guy that preached to us ' FAlco' and he told us that we need to stop trying to make a difference in our school, our church, our city, our group of friends..etc...we need to make a differnt all of those.
dont change one or two things, completely renew them in Christ, take them before the King and let them be changed, renewed, and build your city for God from there.
so i just wanted to challange all those that read it to take a step up and start bring people to be changed for the Kingdom on Earth.
Wow God is amazing, isn't he? Being a part of everyone of yall's lives has been one of best parts of my life, whether it was having fun on missions trips, or having the best youth retreat skit ever(The List), Lazer Tag all night, or just hanging out talking about stuff, oh and how could I forget about clowning. My time as a part of Youth Aflame as a student and as a Leader have been quite a blessing, God has changed so many of you right before my eyes, and that to me is one of the most amazing things to see. Watching people that I care about, people that are my friends find God and seek him with every fiber of their being. That is my true reward, and I would never give that up for anything. You all are amazing, and don't let anybody ever tell you different.
so caroling was pretty sweet =) and i hope everyone has a very merry christmas, and everybody have fun with your family over christmas break!! can't wait to start up again...and we will actually and live band!!
