I’m not sure if you made it to the book signing/mini-concert at Joe Nardone’s Gallery of Sound in February. But I remember inviting you and wanted to get back to you on the drawing in case you were there. It was a fun evening where I met several MySpace friends before and after the mini-concert. At the time, my new novel, Rock & Roll Rip-Off, had yet to be released. It came out a couple of weeks ago and the drawing for a free copy was held last night. The winner is Tish Cardinale-Bilby. If you weren’t able to make it, but are interested in meeting and taking in a night of free entertainment, my library tour will be coming to the Wilkes-Barre area over the summer. Again, I’ll be performing a dozen songs, but this time I’ll be talking about how to get adult children interested in reading after high school graduation. Let me know if you’d like an email when I have a firm date set up. In the meantime, I’ve posted a description and excerpt of my latest mystery novel at www.rjmcdonnell.com.

The recession has cut into book sales quite a bit. So, I will be writing resumes part-time until things pick up. I have 17 years of experience as a professional resume writer and co-wrote a manual used to train resume writers at over 500 offices nationwide. If you or any family or friends could benefit from my expertise in the job search process, check out my site at www.affordablequalityresumes.com. I list prices on the site and offer a free consultation before ordering. Keep in touch. - RJ

I’m writing to update you on three new developments. First, Rock & Roll Homicide is now available at Barnes & Noble. Second, last Thursday the cover art was featured on the top mystery blog, Poe’s Deadly Daughters, for the Anthony Awards nominating committee to review. The next day, my novel was the lead on mystery site, Baker Street Clarion. I put a link to both sites on my Media page.
To take a look click here.
    Keep in touch.

I wanted to let you know that I write a free photo web comic called The Dufus Detective. Unlike my mystery novels, this is strictly comedy, but with a mystery detective twist. It takes about five minutes to read an episode.
The current one can be found at www. dufusdetective. com.
If you like it let me know and I’ll put you on the free subscriber list. Then, once every two weeks, you’ll get an email the first day a new episode is posted. If you recognize the woman who plays Yvette, it’s Rock 107 DJ, Kristen Brooks. She’s also in the “Harry’s U-Pull It” TV ad and is the NEPA Coors Lite Girl. I’m not usually in the episodes, but I do play the role of a reggae singer in the current one. I hope you enjoy it.

Local rock legend and North Pocono graduate, Robbie Walsh, just posted a review of my novel, “Rock & Roll Homicide,” on Amazon.
To read it click here and scroll two-thirds of the way down the page. Robbie played in a band with Noel Redding of The Jimi Hendrix Experience and toured with other internationally acclaimed acts. He lives in Elmhurst and currently plays with Crimson Tears. The book is available in Moscow at The Medicine Shoppe; in Scranton at Gallucci’s Music and Anthology Books; and at all Joe Nardone Gallery of Sound stores.
