ENGLISH VERSION:
We are Daisy Chain from Berlin. We are four people - one guy and three women. Steffen plays the guitar, Jolle the drums, Moni the bass guitar and Eddy vocals. We have been playing together since 2001. Our music is classic punk rock in the style of the early 80's. Our texts are mostly based on stories and experiences of our lives. They express our feelings, rage, sorrow, love, passions, destructions and addictions. But we also have funny songs that celebrate the bright side of a punk rocker's life. Our songs are not political in the classic sense, but we think our songs carry a clear message. We stand against sexism, fascism, anti-Semitism and racism.
We played a couple of concerts in the last years an we were touring trough poland, nederlands, switzerland, danmark, schweden, finland and germany. so we have many live experiences.

Daisy Chain kommen aus den mit Punkrock reichlich vorbelasteten berliner Bezirken Kreuzberg & Prenzl'berg. Sie spielen straighten Old-School Punkrock im Stil der frühen 80er Jahre, der nach vorne losgeht. Am auffälligsten dürfte sicher der starke, melodische Frauengesang sein.
Die Texte sind englisch (bis auf "Kaputt ist schön") und handeln von der täglichen Wut, von Schmerz, von Liebe, von Zerstörung, Sucht und Leidenschaft, über alles was das Leben so mit sich bringt.
Es gibt keine gezielten politischen Aussagen und platten Parolen in den Texten. Für Daisy Chain ist Punkrock, daß was es ist: Punkrock.
Ihre Stellungnahme gegen Antisemitismus, Faschismus, Rassismus und Sexismus versteht sich von selbst.
Zusammengefunden hat sich die Band im Sommer 2001 als reine Frauencombo, aber schon nach wenigen Gigs verließ die Gitarristin Milena das Quartett, um sich ganz auf ihre zweite Combo Allee der Kosmonauten zu konzentrieren.
Es folgte ein langes halbes Jahr der Suche, das schließlich den Ex-Contramination Gitarristen Steffen zu ihnen brachte. Jetzt konnte es endlich weiter gehen und es wurden in der folgenden Zeit etliche Konzerte gespielt und kleine Touren gemacht - unter anderem nach Polen, Holland, Dänemark, Schweden, Finnland, Litauen, in die Schweiz und auch in Deutschland... An Live Erfahrung mangelt es also nicht.

5th ANNIVERSARY OF DIRTY RAGGA SQUAD! One Love 4 real!!!
When the dark clouds over Rozbrat squat have become a real threat we decided to organize a first (but probably not the last) demonstration in defence of our space. As some of you may already know, things around Rozbrat’s future started happening – the bank, the court, the auction. We will not wait passively, it’s high time we showed our presence in the city, in its streets.
The city authorities, against their own declarations, don‘t want to let Rozbrat stay, they don‘t support the place nor the cause. The words said by the vice president of Poznan when he met with us don‘t allow us to think in an optimistic way: there’s no space for us where we are now, there’s no space for us in the city centre, maybe there would be something in the outskirts, but this comes with no concrete proposal… so basically it comes with nothing. The city politics are clear – throw out everything what is different, unprofitable, what is not fitting in the commercial image of Poznan, they want to clear the centre so that it becomes an unlimited shopping mall.
To protest against treating the city as a shopping mall, against conforming everything to the big business, against destroying the social bonds and in defence of places such as Rozbrat – where social, cultural and political functions work together – on 9 May at 3 p.m. in front of the Opera house there will be a demonstration under the slogan ROZBRAT STAYS – LET‘S RECLAIM THE CITY.
