About me:

I am a woman with many missions! My family is of utmost importance, and so is my time spent on animal rights issues. A constant juggler, I am the perfect mother, wife, employee, student and animal rights activist. And if you believe that you'll believe anything! In time that I MAKE spare I try to attend as many animal rights demos as possible, and support as many different organisations as possible. A member of the BUAV and SPEAK, I am also on the SHAC e-mail alert list and I spend a lot of my time writing to funders of vivisection, MP's and suppliers of the various vivisection industries as possible. I strongly admire the "leaders" of the various animal rights campaigns, (although they claim they are not "leaders", that all supporters are equal). I become frustrated as I really wish I could do more - whatever I do never feels enough. On top of this I try to be the best mum possible to my two children. I only work part-time as they are still young, but I have a great job at the moment and I have just completed my accountancy studies and examinations and am hopeful that I have passed these. I sometimes find it really hard to balance my life. The things that I have a real passion for - animal rights - and the things you have to do in life - work, family - sometimes conflict, I feel. My perfect life would consist of animal rights campaigning, being a loving mother, and earning enough money to live, with a few extra treats. Has anybody found this secret formula? Whatever spare time I have consists of reading and swimming. I enjoy the occasional cinema outing and nights out with friends. I also enjoy a glass of wine (or bottles!).
